🤩 New feature in IntuneDiff (intunediff.com)! The idea is from @SSkotheimsvik ! An UI to let you add and modify Edge/Chrome bookmarks, it will automatically generate the JSON format you need for Edge/Chrome Configure favorites policy. I also added the "Edit" JSON feature, so that you use your existing JSON as starting point, then continue to modify as you need. Watch the video for details 🎬 #msintune #communitytools

@pvanderwoude we are now seeing older windows 11 devices that updated to the latest build, resetting the start menu pins. Seems like the default behaviour when applyOnce is not set, was changed... still analyzing this

@pvanderwoude applyOnce ist interesting - If a user already configured the start menu and you apply this policy now - would it overwrite everything just once or would the pins get added to the ones the user configured?

Ever looked at your local Administrators group and wondered who those random SIDs belong to? Windows finally shows Entra roles and groups with their actual names. No more guessing, no more unreadable entries. See how it works in the latest Patch n Rant episode: youtu.be/tiTqGrnL6K8 #Intune #MSIntune #Windows11 #Entra #Windows

@SeguraOSD @gwblok got an error message using OSD version 25.11.7.2 in the Public\Functions\Other\Save-WebFile.ps1 on Line 145 and 165. PowerShell is saying it can’t convert System.String to System.Int64. I’ll check my script to make sure it is not a typo on my end, but fyi.

Microsoft confirmed a bug in the October 2025 Update is causing BitLocker recovery on reboot. This issue affects Windows 11 25H2, 24H2 and even Windows 10. Mostly, business users are affected. If you don't have the BitLocker recovery key (always accessible via Microsoft account), you could be locked out of your PC. BitLocker protects your data by encrypting drives, and recovery usually appears after hardware or TPM changes. Microsoft says this bug mostly hits Intel PCs with Modern Standby (the feature that keeps the PC online in low power). Recently, Microsoft also broke Windows 11 Task Manager, causing duplicate processes and performance issues in some cases.

@pvanderwoude @everydayintech I tested it this morning. On 24H2 builds prior to CU07 the policy enforces the layout. Users can pin/unpin items but at the next reboot they are discarded and the layout is reverted back to the one in the policy.

@pvanderwoude @everydayintech Okay, I tried it out this morning. I personalized the pinned items. Then dropped it into a group that applies the policy. When the policy applied it cleared out my personalized Start Menu and replaced it with the one in the policy. So be careful implementing this policy!

Create an MD5 hash of a string with PowerShell (rather than on a file via Get-FileHash) $md5 = [System.Security.Cryptography.MD5]::Create() [System.BitConverter]::ToString( ($md5.ComputeHash([System.Text.Encoding]::UTF8.GetBytes("Oh My God")))) -replace '-'
