I recently treated myself to some more Ferrars mysteries. Anyone else a fan? Any suggestions for which one I should read first?

@ArmchairSleuth Again depends on what I find in my Coffee and Crime advent calendar. But as a fallback one I received last year “Another Little Christmas Murder” 🤩

I am being a bit of a rebel, reading my vintage Christmas crime mystery for the year in October. New to me author Pierre Very's The Murder of Father Christmas (1934). What Christmas classic crime fiction are others going to read this year?

Y’know that thing where you’re exhausted & you need to stop & so you do stop & then your brain goes “Excellent. Now that I have your attention, let us review every mistake you have made since 1982.” I do not like that thing. There is, however, FASCINATING science behind it.

We've received a lot of abusive and horrible messages over the past few days. If you still love the NHS and appreciate all the nurses, please reply with a 💙. #OurNHS #NHS

Today I thought I would start a thread of highly recommendable non-fiction titles about (mostly classic) crime fiction that I have read. Please add your own suggestions too 📚🙂 Book No. 1: The Golden Age of Murder (2015) by Martin Edwards

@unbounders @MYSWEARYCAT @cox_tom My lovely copy! Notebook is a brilliant read covering all aspects of Tom's day to day life. Including wildlife, Tom's dad, moving house and lots more. It is a humorous and enjoyable read, well worth a look.

Just a few days until #Notebook by @cox_tom hits bookshop shelves. Have you got your copy yet? We'd love to see pics of this lovely book in its new home, and hear what you think... And if you still need to preorder, you can do that here: bit.ly/37EvBRs

Nurses have given 100%. The Tories are giving them 1%. RT if you'd rather your taxes went to them, rather than Serco.

OK Twitter, hit me with your posh names for a female character, age about 65/70, army background/family. Old-fashioned rather than contemporary-sounding if you know what I mean? IE Georgina used to be an upper class name but has now been democratised.
