@Pirat_Nation I’m sure Xbox spoke about this exact thing in 2013 when the Xbox one released but it never happened!

Microsoft is working on a new system called Positron that could let Xbox players turn their physical game discs into digital copies. The idea is simple: you put the disc in your console or drive, the system checks that you own the game, and then it adds a digital version to your Xbox account. Once converted, the game would work with cloud gaming, play on many devices, and fit better with new hardware, while the physical disc would likely stop working afterward to stop people from sharing or selling the same copy. We do not know which games would work, if it costs money, or when it might launch, and Microsoft has not confirmed it, so this is still just a rumor.

@PaulTassi That was one of the big problems with marathon, it was confusing and difficult at first but if you perceived it became addictive, the problem is most didn’t perceiver and just moved on, that first impression is so important and marathon struggled with that.

So what I've been told about the Sony "retention remains at a high level" comment is not that it's about overall population, but that it refers to what we saw in that Alinea data in March, about how those who are into the game are *really* into it with very high gameplay hours

@FakeJ00712 100% agree, the whole purpose of a game like this is to try and get better and try for a win, you can still have fun and not win, and you won’t get better shooting mindless bots, the WZ fall off and its introduction of casual modes seems to be closely tied.

@tiggr_ Everything looks great apart from this! Games like this shouldn’t have these modes especially REDSEC, we saw in real time how the addition of casuals and the downfall WZ were closely connected, don’t allow this game to fall down that hole please, this should be scrapped.

@PaulTassi Lack of 120fps on console doesn’t help, but I’m sure it could add additional modes to possibly bring players who don’t have a interest in extraction shooters

@BF6Updates Worst thing they could ever add!! Look how soon after adding casual modes to warzone it died. You can learn the ropes and actually improve by playing against people not bots. This game will kill itself continuously adding bot modes

Battlefield 6's Redsec mode is getting a Casual Battle Royale option on June 30th, designed for players who want to learn the ropes or play more casually with a mixed player-and-bot lobby.

Battlefield 6 REDSEC Ranked looks fantastic. Lots of notes in the blog about dev interventions to improve systems as they flesh out the mode. Console players also protected.

@aeidolone @BattlefieldComm @Battlefield I thought it was just using the system level PSSR2 enhancement which it applys to all PSSR games although I’m not sure how much more of an improvement a specific PSSR2 patch will be.

@AmericanTimdog Do you genuinely think the success of Xbox going forward is based on one game being exclusive to Xbox console and PC? For it me it has to be absolutely every game because it will end up the same as the just 4 games situation

I heard this last week and I know where it comes from. All the pressure will be on Gears. Much like 2012 when they didn’t reverse DRM and announced it at e 3 it was an inflection point for Xbox. 14 years later they are faced with the same thing with Gears. If they make the same mistake they will be at another inflection point for the death of HW imo. If they reverse course they will get flowers and my money. I still think @asha_shar will make the right decision. Real fans will make it hard for her with this. I am one of them. Sony can have my money if they don’t want real fans money. Sony will be the smart place smart money to be. Appreciate you sir.

Range of Gears and tentpoles full console exclusives with hopefully build up for full exclusives. Xbox ad nauseam needs exclusives and then to be a main stay. No timed. You touch specifically gears halo Forza and fable after what’s already announced and you basically fail in my eyes and I sell all my xbox stuff. I could use the 2000 so up to them to start actually being more than words. Real fans have real expectations. Fanfest and shirts like I told Ybarra after Crackdown 3 Larry Hryb stream looking like dogshit ain’t gonna cut it for fans. I hold my position once again firmly with this just like I did 2 years ago in 24.
