What piece of machinery causes the most soil compaction/damage on your farm ? Why ? What are you doing to fix it ?

@GribbleRC @Verge_Ag you can run numbers with this software to consider the efficiency gain/loss vs the machinery cost. @BindiIsbister may also already have some CTF numbers?

Anyone provide clear numbers on the ROI & or efficiency/capacity of going from 12mt draper to a 15mt or 18mt draper on same class8/9 machine. Accounting for a 15mt is around $100k more than 12mt, & 18mt is $130k more than 12mt. Does wider come at too high of a cost?

Has anyone on here invested in the new DJI agras T50 spray drone? These look bloody good and are getting closer to reality for getting some productive use out of them. I also see benefits in Ag research, but also spraying fence lines, channels etc. Keen to hear thoughts

@CasFarmerCD @NDubuc I could be wrong, but I think up to 47% increase in contact patch from road to field. I think 10-15% more traction than other VF hybrids. 2-1 tyres aim is to reduce tyre wear and fuel consumption on the road, reduce soil compaction and fuel in the field with increased traction.

@NDubuc What's the advantage? Compaction, traction, tyre wear ?

The potential to use Prescion ag technologies is huge however challenges with data interoperability & reliability of the tech working in the paddock is limiting its use 😬 we need to work together as an industry to solve it - what are the challenges and opportunities?

Best innovation for the year goes to CTIS. Hands down the best thing I’ve added to the sprayer. I can spray almost anything regardless of how wet it is. 420’s stay on all year. New tractor’s coming with it installed also.
