CAP Plc is paying ₦4 per share.
You’re still asking:
“Is Nigerian stock market safe?”
Company just did:
— ₦44.86B revenue
— ₦9.1B profit
— 67% dividend increase
QD: June 3, PD: June 25
But yeah… keep your money in a savings account earning nothing.
Nigeria will humble you until you respect boring money.

A 5% drop is not a crash. It is a pullback. That happens regularly and it is normal.
A 10% drop is a correction. More serious, yes, but still not a crash.
A 20% or more decline is a bear market. That is when the conversation changes.
A sudden 30% to 50% plunge is what people usually mean by a crash.
Most of what social media calls a crash is just a routine pullback or correction. Stop panicking at every red day.

@KevinSzabo14 Simple but that’s exactly how it happens.
Not big mistakes, just small overspending done consistently.
You don’t go broke in one day.
You drift there.
Flip it: earn, save, invest….then spend what’s left.

Imagine you and 4 friends open a shawarma business. Total cost is N500,000. Each person puts in N100,000. Each person owns 20%.
If the business makes N200,000 profit in a month, your share is N40,000.
If someone offers to buy your 20% for N200,000 because the business is growing, your N100,000 just became N200,000.
That's exactly how the stock market works. Replace "shawarma business" with Dangote Cement or MTN. Replace "5 friends" with millions of shareholders.
You're buying a piece of a real business. That's all a stock is.
