I am so grateful to have each one of you, my Christian brothers and sisters, not AI companions. There was a time when friends would shake hands, visit one another, and express face to face how much they cared. Then we moved into a virtual era where we still say we love one another, but from a distance. And who knows, maybe one day we will think we are speaking with a real friend, only to discover it was a bot or AI. Just in case, I want to make it clear that I am not AI. If I could, I would hug you all in person. Despite the distance, there is something this virtual world can never destroy, and that is love. God created love, and it will never be replaced by anything artificial. Love is love, and it belongs in hearts of flesh and blood. 🤍

Don't listen to the spin coming from Senate Republicans. Democrats got everything they wanted. American voters got screwed. There was a reason why John Thune scheduled the vote while the nation was asleep - so they could skip town before voters woke up and discovered what they had done. And here's the real kick in the pants - Republican senators left for yet another vacation without doing anything about the Save America Act. There's no polite way to say this - but Senate Republicans are sabotaging the midterm elections and President Trump's agenda.

The Republican Party knows that there is no realistic probability, at least not right now, that the conservative base will hold them accountable and abstained from voting for the Republican Party in elections. The Republican Party figures that when they have trifecta control, they may very well lose the next election cycle, but I think they are actually OK with this because, they figure that after one cycle of having democratic control, they will just be handed the wheels again. It has devolved into a game that involves lying to the conservative base to get votes and get control, once in control, you advance all the desires of the lobbies and special interests, and you try your best to do damage control, but even if you lose the next election cycle, the conservative base will be ready to run back to the Republican Party and vote for them again after dealing with one full election term of the Democratic Party. It isn’t that bad of a set up for the Republican Party. They’re still able to act with impunity when they have control, and it might cost them one election term, but they’ll be right back in office again with control the following election term. It is just a swinging pendulum.

@SenMikeLee We are going to lose both houses of Congress. Count on it. The Republican Bolsheviks have demonstrated their incompetence and inability to lead on the hard things. Somehow the Communists manage to ram through their priorities when they are in charge, but Republicans cannot.

Here’s where we stand. The Good: President Trump is paying TSA agents, and the current bill the Senate just sent over to the House re-opens DHS. ICE and Border Patrol will continue arrests and deportations, being primarily funded through the OBBB. Democrats did not succeed in sabotaging border and immigration enforcement in any substantive way. The Bad: the Senate goes on a two week recess without passing the SAVE America Act, stand-alone voter ID, or funding all of DHS through the normal process. Democrats threw a wrench into our efforts to deliver on issues which enjoy broad support among the American people. The Ugly: Congress, especially the Senate, cannot skate by relying on President Trump to solve all our problems. Republicans have to justify their majorities by fighting for permanent policy victories, not can-kicking with unrealistic reconciliation promises. If we do not stand and fight today, we will not inspire Americans in November.
