@JohnSiteman @Brandenj13 @Devin_Heroux You make a point. But I disagree. It is logistically possible. Use lsd and h2h to guarantee only 1 TB game. Could easily have been done this am. Not sure how an extra high pressure game doesn’t help teams prepare for future competition.

Though a tiebreaker game can be entertaining for fans- it’s not logistically practical nor does it help prepare athletes for the next level (as they come in with ties as help).

Gushue says Curling Canada should explore relegation again. “There are way too many lopsided games. And no tiebreakers. I’d be open to explore relegation again to get back to that full round robin”

@Brandenj13 @Devin_Heroux Tiebreaker games aren’t coming back- as the Worlds and Olympics took them out. Having a scenario where it’s Top 6 overall really wouldn’t be fair as there isn’t any crossover play. Someone could get eliminated by no fault of their own.

@jeffreyslen @Devin_Heroux I think relegation hurts the event. There are a lot of fans that like the idea of every territory represented even if some are weaker. Relegation turns the Brier into another grand slam type of event.

@Devin_Heroux Yes. But there needs to be deeper changes too. We have to get out of our own way. We need to radically look at all of it - the formats, the residency rule, qualifications.

Adding a tiebreaker game would help, wouldn’t it? No morning draw on Friday morning at Scotties or Brier.
