Just in... Some of the rarest pieces a Hammer completist could chase... I've been after this particular piece of sheet music for years. And thankfully my dealer didn't rip me off over it either. Still a few more pieces to track down.

There is good news with regards my book 'Don't Dare See It Alone'. Originally scheduled for last year, tech issues put it back at the last minute. Publication now set for 14 Feb. Pre-orders will start shifting in batches once I get stock to hand.

@MonstarPR @hammerfilms Not yet AFAIK. Hopefully will eventually get a solid restoration. Until then there's a decent widescreen DVD.

Recent additions to my @hammerfilms collection. A mix of vintage and modern books, posters, stills, sheet music and discs relating both to Hammer and their distribution arm #ExclusiveFilms. Some of this will no doubt make it's way into my forthcoming projects.

Latest poster acquisition is this original UK quad for the #ExclusiveFilms release of western '3 Desperate Men' from 1951. Directed by Sam Newfield. The US release was by Lippert. In pretty good shape after 74 years!

First 4k in the new machine is an old Peter Cushing favourite... But not a Hammer. Yes it's Dr Who and the Daleks time. Just what I needed now I've been given the all clear following my eye surgery.

Finally caved in and bought a 4k player. Basically just so I can properly appreciate the new Hammer remasters, but I've picked up some other titles too. Will give something a proper spin tomorrow.

Oh look, a subtle little @hammerfilms cameo in The Beatles Anthology: Two. Iconic.

Today's post brought me the latest Wayne Kinsey book on Hammer, and the Kaleidoscope DVD of Wolfshead. The latter I got for completion sake, the print used is awful, full of blemishes. Nice clean 4k Hammer restoration is on the new Men in Sherwood Forest release.

Stolen Face is next up on the @hammerfilms 4k restorations - a brilliant noir and bridge to the Frankenstein series. hammerfilms.com/products/stole…

Terrific news. With any luck we’ll finally be getting proper releases for ‘The Ghoul’, ‘Legend of the Werewolf’ and the rest. In fact, if the standard set by the 4k Hammer releases so far applies, they’ll be getting a kind of treatment even better than the films probably deserve.

Today would have been legendary scream queen Ingrid Pitt's 88th birthday. An absolute icon of horror, talented writer, Holocaust survivor and tour de force. I should have some Ingrid news to share with you all very soon
