Some advice for young men (from an older one who’s been around the block a few times): Being a man isn’t about simply having an opinion or picking a team on social media, then becoming a loyal goon for that team to crush all enemies. You have to actually stand for something good and decent in the real world, which starts in your own community. It’s easy to destroy things and knock others down. Much harder is working with those you might not agree with to build something tangible and worthwhile that benefits more than just yourself. You don’t learn from people who think exactly like you do—you learn from the people who don’t. And when in doubt, the harder path is almost always the right one. So think for yourself, don’t let others think for you. And have the confidence to be yourself, be original, and go against the grain. Go boldly!
