A super-underrated-reality about religious liberty: It was developed as much to keep CHRISTIANS from subjugating and killing one another as it was non-Christians. In religious history, Christians have at numerous points viciously persecuted one another (see Anabaptists, The).

See, the problem you have is that you can never back this up from the Bible. You seem to not realize there were only Jews in the early church after Jesus’ resurrection and what is now called “Christianity” was a sect of Judaism for at least the first decade of the Church. That says nothing about you dishonoring Paul’s writings, particularly Romans, and Jesus’ teachings and the Prophets and the Covenants of the OT. Salvation is from the Jews, my friend. And those who deny that deny the means of their own salvation.

You are not angry at the Jews. You are angry at God. You are angry because God made promises you cannot revoke, chose a people you cannot replace, and reserved authority you cannot seize. Israel is the jurisdictional limit God placed on your insane obsession with power. Their continued election reminds you that the covenant belongs to God, history belongs to God, and you do not get to sit on His throne and redistribute His promises according to your theology. That is why you cannot leave the Jews alone. Their existence is a standing rebuke to your delusion that the Church inherited the authority to disinherit whomever it pleases. You do not hate “dispensationalism.” You hate the fact that God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable. You do not resent Jewish unbelief. You resent divine sovereignty. And beneath all the pious language about conversion is the same ancient rebellion: God has placed a limit on your authority, and you cannot forgive Him for it.

@DefiyantlyFree You hate God just like the idol you worship, Jews. You hate God because He doesn't elevate your idol above Himself. Because He fulfilled all His promises in Christ, who your idol rejects, thus severing itself from the promise.

The talking points went out. Webben. JD Hall. This one. He knows dispensationalists do not teach that Jews are saved apart from Christ. He knows “chosen” does not mean “automatically redeemed.” He knows belief in God’s continuing promises to Israel is not a substitute for preaching the gospel. The real demand underneath this argument is clear: Christians must declare that God has disinherited the Jewish people, transferred their promises to us, and erased their continuing covenantal significance or else be accused of participating in their damnation. No. You do not get to turn concern for Jewish salvation into a weapon against God’s faithfulness. You do not get to blame Christians for the unbelief of other human beings because they refuse to make God a liar. And you certainly do not get to drag the Holocaust into the argument as a cheap emotional threat while advancing the theology that Jews have been rejected, displaced, and stripped of everything God promised their fathers. This is vile.
Dale Partridge@dalepartridge

Dispensationalism sends Jews to hell. - When Christians affirm that Christ-rejecting Jews are “God’s chosen people” - When Christians affirm that all the promises of the Old Testament still apply to Christ-rejecting Israel - When Christians affirm a future temple and the resurrection of the sacrificial system They remove the pressure for conversion. Paul said the Church ought to drive unbelieving Jews to jealousy as they watch the covenant blessings unfold upon the Gentile nations (Rom. 11:11-14). But instead, we have made them comfortable in their rebellion. So, do not scream “holocaust” while holding to a system that sends millions of Jews to damnation.

@CopperAmerican I wonder if the cop realizes how insanely tone deaf she is? These are ppl running away from warlords, they said they are there to claim asylum… fucking help them. I swear man, if we’d just stop being so weirdly isolationist in the west we could be what we were supposed to be.

The Cream-colored Woodpecker may be the world's strangest woodpecker Found in South America, this striking bird is known for its pale yellow feathers and bright red cheek patch. Even more unusual, it has been reported to give off a distinct lemon-like scent
