honestly i'm this close to quitting reading for good. every single author i actually love turns out to be problematic or worse. i'm so tired of finding out after i already got attached. feels like i can't enjoy anything anymore without a background check first

It’s not a lie though lol. In fact it makes light of the truth: that it was Western countries like the US that finally outlawed slavery. Meanwhile it continues in many places to this very day. But they want you to believe “American slavery” was somehow this unique heinous evil. It simply wasn’t. That is the truth.

What i don’t get is like all the other actors are clear approximations of the characters, in terms of age and persona. It’s not just the race element with snape, why does he look so young and hip lmao. Dude looks like a random rapper standing next to the cast of HP. It’s just bizarre.
