@NelsonArre24787 @KeruboSk Pokemon is still the cheapest of the big card games to play. The top decks are routinely between $50-100, most on the lower end. It's just finding packs and boxes for kids to open that's gotten ridiculous.

@KeruboSk Pokémon cards are the perfect example. What started as a cheap kid’s game turned into a luxury investment market now it’s less ‘let’s trade’ and more ‘let’s flip rare holographics.’ Feels like the hobby got priced out of the people it was made for.

@exsnypre I respect that within the system he had heavy safety valves that relieved the pressures of scoring, but the offense was predicated on his pressure in the post. I understand the angle of volume, but he was almost always the highest usage rate on those teams.

@gotmybrands_on Catering is Harden and the Rockets or, post Shaq, Kobe and the Lakers. It's not team first play where you have 1 player scoring in the low 20s each night and the rest of the points spread across everyone. If catering to one guy only gets 20ppg you have massive offensive issues.

@hashtagwarfreek @GinaHinojosaTX Obviously because the Democratic majority being so strong it can override Abbott when he vetoes. Obviously. Do you know who the fuck has been in charge of Texas's legislature for 25 years?

In 2017, Abbott knew Corpus was running out of water. But Abbott still gave his Saudi plastics pet project millions of your tax $ to guzzle as much water as ALL the citizens of Corpus Christi use. His solution now? Make the people of Corpus pay more so his donors can keep chugging cheap water. That’s “The Greg Abbott Corruption Tax.” gov.texas.gov/news/post/A-Mu…

@gotmybrands_on I'm saying the offense was not catered to Duncan. Centered around him? Sure, he's the best player, but the offense was not at all catered to him. That's delusional if you look at Pop's schemes.

@exsnypre You’re under the wrong person tweet. I am arguing that the system WAS catered to him and his strengths. The person I’m quoting is suggesting the team didn’t do this. The roster construction was built with him in mind as the central hub.

@Vo0rheez @mcuban NBA ratings aren't down. 25/26 has been one of the best seasons ever, ratings-wise. Cuban's idea is purely a try to "fix" tanking by trying to reduce injuries to stars.

Its not just mere minutes overload that is hurting the NBA's ratings. Sure it contributes to injury for players. Scarcity is an enormous factor. Fewer games drives up value for each game. They become more "events". Players will be much more rested with more days off. The quality of play would be much higher than just reducing minutes.

Make the games 40 minutes. 8 x 82 / 48 =13.667 That’s the equivalent number of games you would reduce the schedule by. Without breaking arena leases. Works for college. Works for international. Works for the WNBA. AND. If you looking at tv and streaming ratings, the less the actual playing time for a televised game, the bigger the ratings. Ie, the less time fans have to focus on a game, the more they enjoy watching it on tv
Bill Simmons@BillSimmons

0 for 3! Also — notice how none of the ideas involve shortening the season which is partly how we fell into this tanking sinkhole in the first place. They come up with 3 “solutions” and none of the 3 are “what would 72 games look like?” This league is so frustrating

What TF is wrong with you people? How is "play less basketball" a solution for a basketball problem? If you want to play these primadonas fewer minutes, increase the roster size. Bring in more of those next-tier players and give them a chance in the NBA. Less basketball is NEVER THE ANSWER.

@Charles77878130 @KevinBuffington @Zhozhoma @CoxHerb If we all got to decide where our taxes goes, the entire government would cease to function. Why is money going towards poor kids educations such a sticking point? Can the poor stop paying for what they dislike so their lives can improve, or is this only for private school kids?

@KevinBuffington @Zhozhoma @CoxHerb We should all pay to educate the next generations. My thought is that if the government is going to spend 10k per student to educate a kid then the parents of school aged kids should be able to designate where that 10k gets spent. Especially if that provides better education

That equals 0.0427% of all Texas school students not counting homeschoolers. That level of demand just shows rich kids already in private schools want that “free” Texas tax dollar to pay for their private school tuition. Socialism and grift at its finest. Calm down Shaka.
Shaka Mitchell@shakamitchell

🎉 Hearing that more than 250,000 students applied for about 100,000 available spots in Texas. 🎉 That level of demand tells a clear story: Texas families want more educational options. @nathancunneen @schoolchoicenow

@treadedupon @GinaHinojosaTX The point is the plant, located outside Corpus Christi in the neighboring county is using more water than every other user and doesn't have to abide by drought restrictions from the city, as it doesn't have purview. This only has to do with county and state laws/politicians.

All due respect Joe but you don’t know what you’re talking about. The largest healthcare TPAs in the US are UnitedHealth Group, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Centene Corporation, Molina Healthcare, WellCare Health Plans, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (combined). The vast majority of their ERISA business is steered by Marsh, Aon and AJ Gallagher. Those three work with the largest employers for plan design and third-party administration selection. At least learn the terminology before posting on the Internet.

The are a function of health insurance plans. The insurance companies create plans with deductibles that most people can’t afford. So to get to the insurance money from their plan, they will loan the patient money to cover their deductible. That turns the hospital into a sub prime lender. Then the insurer will under pay, late pay and claw back in the contract. Costing the hospital more cash. And costing them in administrative costs even more Then the insurer will delay approvals and deny care, earning interest on the premiums. So then the hospitals. Non profit or not, have to compensate for the issue with insurance companies. So they create ridiculous shit like facilities fees, abuse 340b programs , abuse site neutrality and more. And of course non profits don’t pay taxes And then the biggest provider systems will say they can’t make money on Medicare. Which is a function of them spending like drunken sailors on everything they can. From buildings to consultants. There are more administrators than doctors and in aggregate they make more. It makes no sense that hospitals spend so much money on consultants. It’s a waste. It’s like them want them to give the CEO cover , so they can try to buy more hospitals which leads to more pay for the ceo Break em all up
Larry Goldberg@TeslaLarry

@mcuban you are not wrong. Now do the huge healthcare non-profits, their motivations and behaviours.

@mcuban Just a quibble but I think you mean third-party administrators and not insurance companies. And the plan design is driven more by advisors hired by employers to help them make decisions about employee coverage and cost sharing.

I know this is a leak rather than an official spoiler, but since this seems to be confusing people I'm like 99% sure that you can't just cast Ancestral Recall. My guess is that ability it tied to the creature being prepared. So play the creature, pay one to Ancestral and then you'll need to prepare again by exiling eight cards from your graveyard if you want to do it again. At least that's my guess.
