Well, @OREsupply mining just got an upgrade. Pool together to hit Top Miner more often. Claim what you want, when you want. Ruby beta is live & non-custodial.

day 1 of a solana girl testing @solana perps DEXes 💜 been doing perps for years, last year and since the drift hack only on hyperliquid. so while everyone beefs sol vs hyperliquid perps dexes I’ll try them all so you don’t have to 👀 @PhoenixTrade toly shills it and honestly it shows. smooth, works really nice. only thing — have to deposit which makes me a little cautious rn. and the leverage bar is a bit weird, why? 👀 @FlashTrade used it often before. non-custodial, trade straight from your wallet, no deposit needed. degen mode up to 500x. love 💅 @ImperialPerps smooth, works nice. will try more. pnl screenshot kinda bugged on iphone for me lol what’s next? which dex are you using? 👀

@Genia_XBT @PythNetwork Yeah, it's done - the rev over there at least pumps the main token. Pump fun takes your money and puts it in the bank 🤣 Solana is known for PvP and we see the end result playing out.

my 2c as someone who has traded on both and happen to work with many of the main perp dexs, since @PythNetwork powers most of them: 1. There will be no "hyperliquid killer" - this line of thinking is silly. HL won and everyone else is fighting for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. Lighter, Aster, EdgeX and others were not able to do it - so there's very little probability that anyone else will 2. The focus for any new platform (especially @PhoenixTrade) should only be on new market launches, liquidity and bridging / deposit UX - everything else is window dressing. Makers also always need to be prioritized and incentivized. 3. Catching up on parity in terms of available markets will also attract existing MMs to use new platforms as a hedging venue. very valuable

this might ruffle some feathers, but bear with me. i’ve been trading on @HyperliquidX since 2023, caught the tge airdrop, and clocked ~$50M in total volume across accounts trading by my hands using no bots. not whale-level, but not small for an individual. HL is literally where I won big, so I have zero hate for the community. now I’m trading on both HL and @PhoenixTrade. i actually think we don't necessarily need one to 'kill' the other, but I absolutely want to see @PhoenixTrade secure a top-tier position in the perp sector because: (1) ux & onboarding: builder code apps ease the onboarding process but for depositing directly to HyperCore, it's still friction-heavy and takes too many steps to park your funds. Solana does this seamlessly, especially with how universally CEXs support direct Solana rails today. (2) Solana ecosystem growth: plain and simple, i'm building on Solana, i believe that Solana will welcome the next generation of consumer apps, so i want to see Solana win in the perp sector. that said, my question is what’s the ultimate goal of a 'competition' like this? if it’s just for social exposure, fair enough. but at the end of the day, i want to see deeper features on Phoenix, like more equity perps or pre-IPO equity perps with great orderbook built with Solana's speed and better liquidity. @vibhu if you ever do a round 2, I’d love to jump in for a friendly matchup. let's friendly battle on PnL and transaction count. best way to stress-test the engine and show exactly how much volume Phoenix can handle.

Ok, forced my smooth brain to dive into Phoenix and this is how I see it + addressing the quoted tweet: Ellipsis did something impressive with Phoenix. Making atomic settlement & price-time priority work simultaneously on Solana is sick. Spline orders for MMs are clever too. They basically maximized the potential within the box (Solana) instead of building the box from scratch like Lighter did. Two stacked teams that wanted a real onchain CLOB that actually performs (too early to say that about Phoenix but the tech looks promising). As for @toly's sequencer point here: fair question, wrong conclusion (but he knows that). Sequencer centralization matters when the sequencer can abuse the position. ZK proofs prevent abuse. Escape hatch and L1 priority queue gives you autonomy. The sequencer can't steal from you, and it can't trap you. PS: I do think @PhoenixTrade won’t gain and sustain meaningful marketshare without a token.

@0xjakesaga @HyperliquidX Genuinly curious. Flash trade is basically Pheonix, but better. Why wouldnt you trade their if you want the solana counter part of HL. (this isnt a shill, trying to understand why PHX)

Does a pro trader from Hyperliquid want to have a competition with me (non-trader/notable idiot) tomorrow on @PhoenixTrade? I deposit $10k, you deposit $10k Best P&L at end of day gets $1k from the other Public wallet obviously

IMO it will be very difficult for the Solana eco to surpass Hyperliquid’s OI + volume by only launching direct 1:1 competing perp exchanges (eg Phoenix, Bulk, etc.). The products need to be very differentiated and offer users new forms of onchain trading that don’t exist on HL. 3 examples: @hylo_so, @GetRektApp, and @ArcherExchange_. Hylo already has the 2nd most OI on Solana and only offers xSOL. Imagine when it adds xBTC, xOIL, etc. Rekt repackages Phoenix perps to create a more gamified/volatile trading experience for retail traders. Their app will open to the public soon. Archer is optimized for market makers and prioritizes their updates/cancellations over taker orders. Archer is now live for spot, with perps coming soon.

@Daddy_BigDa @harkl_ @HyperliquidX @PhoenixTrade Yes, tbh this a big thing for HYPE. My hope is that over time people on Solana treat ORE as our own HYPE token, since there's no VC/bundles etc. It's the perfect token to actually build value through, people just haven't understood that yet.

@harkl_ @HyperliquidX @PhoenixTrade U do understand when I value accrual - I meant hype holders getting all the revenue protocol generates ? It also means builders sharing their revenue with the protocol? The flywheel hyperliquid was able to build with each individual update.

.@HyperliquidX’s pitch: decentralized perps The reality: 24 validators, closed-source node code, a single bridge holding billions, and a track record of forcibly settling markets when things get spicy. @PhoenixTrade Perps on Solana: 1,500+ validators, open-source and build-verified smart contracts, no bridge, non-custodial, gasless, and composable with the entire Solana DeFi stack. One of these is decentralized trading. The other is a managed venue with a blockchain attached.

@DefiIgnas @Eli5defi We just need flash, real team, killer product, tokenomics make sense. People will still 'farm' the new stuff and get disappointed with the EXPECTED airdrop lmao. This is why we see so much hyperliquid on the timeline.

ORE is an attempt to revive the original vision of crypto.
mattytay@mattytay

One powerful aspect of $ORE is the long-term oriented culture emerging within its core community. Like with any new asset, the volatility has been extreme (and will continue for years) and tourists filter in & out of the Discord. But that volatility seems to be forging a group of diehard believers. You can see this long-term mindset in how many whales play the mining game: accumulating unrefined ORE, staking, and keeping rewards unclaimed to compound yield over time. Under the hood, the Ore protocol itself is even designed to incentivize/retain long-term holders as opposed to short-term players. That stands in stark contrast to the memecoin culture that has dominated much of the Solana ecosystem over the past few years: Pumpfun dopamine hits, the deployer industrial complex, historical token hold times average around 30 seconds, etc. I think there is definitely a place for trench warfare, but I don't know if its sustainable for the dominant behavior to become chasing volatility rather than building long-term conviction. I thought for a bit that BONK could grow into being the culture/SoV asset of the Solana eco, but unfortunately it seems like it was consumed by the same short-term speculative culture. The culture around ORE (both top down and bottom up) feels much closer to early Bitcoin. Bitcoiners often talked about adopting a “low time preference”, the idea of prioritizing long-term value creation and delayed gratification over immediate consumption/quick profits. @OREsupply feels like one of the first communities on Solana attempting to rebuild that mindset: a grassroots coin more culturally aligned with the founders/developers who actually make the network economically valuable. Exit the trenches and enter the mines. ⛏️

@tombodelpip @allinbitcoin_ I guess easiest thing to do is go to their profiles on X and search flashtrade and phoenix and see how many hits come up, and separate replies from posts about each of them. Flash should have much much more given how long they been around and how fast they've shipped ig.

After multiple attempts with @SolanaFndn, we are happy to announce they will be creating a new department called “ORE Force.” The entire ORE community has already been hired as employees. Payments will be in ORE and SOL, and there is a mandatory in office mandate which will take place in the mines. They apologized for the delay and ended the call with: “Hard hats on.”
