By 1995 the brand was selling nearly half a billion dollars a year. It produced a phenomenon real enough to be given a name in the psychology literature. The SnackWell Effect. The tendency to overconsume a food precisely because its label has told you it is virtuous. A nation ate itself heavier on cookies it had been told were a diet aid, and could not work out why. The green box was not an outlier. The green box was the whole decade, condensed, on a supermarket shelf.

I know I retweeted this earlier, but I don’t think the Mets have ever recovered from Bartolo leaving. Their pitching has never been better than when he was there, leading by example. The Mets should bring him back as a pitching coach or bench coach.

@anon_opin Then you can’t use the phrase “6 of one half a dozen of the other” you’d just say “6 on one hand or 6 on the other” which doesn’t quite carry the same weight.

I don't understand the point of using the term "dozen". It means 12, so just say 12? It's even worse when people say or type "half a dozen". Just say 6 or six.
