I have been captivated by the opening title sequence of Severance. It has a certain aesthetic that I felt familiar. Was exciting when I found out @extraweg was the artist. Double cool that I own a few of their NFTs from 2020 on @niftygateway

Hej Hej! 😊 I’m responsible for this! It’s a layered paint-over of the Season 1 intro, and I also used 3D goat heads as guides to paint over. About 80% of the work was done on an iPad with Procreate (if you’re curious, check out “oil painting on Procreate iPad” on Google - it’s not as complicated as it might seem). I combined this with many layers in After Effects, exported to Houdini, re-imported, and refined further - today much easer too do 😮‍💨. It was almost 2 years ago I did this part. The artifacts you noticed might be from Photoshop infill, which I used during cleanup? Everything was crafted intentionally, with care -this wasn’t a one-click solution 😉 I hope that clears it up!
