The technical Reg’s read that the rear wing must be fixed apart from the DRS flap. The intent is to make the advantage with DRS open only. I suspect they will argue it’s the lower element deflecting which is causing the gap.
And yes. It will be applauded and the regs will change to include the new trick. It’s happened for as long as racing has existed.

@eyemsolomon @lee_fr200 @RedBullPU1 @McLarenF1 Is there an explicit rule being broken? Surely flexibility in inherent in design, and if a designer can extract an advantage from that it should be commended?
English

@lee_fr200 @RedBullPU1 @McLarenF1 Put your hand out the car window at 60 mph without gaps. Then open a tiny crack between your fingers. See how much easier it becomes. That’s the concept here.
English

@RedBullPU1 I don’t see how that little gap could create a huge pace advantage? Anyone explain? Glad to see @McLarenF1 back to the front though it’s been 13yrs since they were regularly winning races

@DecodingFoxNews So $5000 of non newly printed money isn’t enough to have any impact but $750 is enough for an entire family to rebuild according to the previous administrations FEMA. please make this make sense
