We almost used Kinesis for a live recording system. Then we realized… We didn’t need real-time processing at all. We needed: → Reliability → Crash recovery → Low cost So we built it using: S3 Multipart Upload + chunking. No streaming. Is it dead ? Traditional Engineering ! Well, I am not capable of saying anything here but at Jambits.io , we try to handle the change with steering doc and bunch of skills where steering docs are mostly the concrete truth about design,architecture and how should data flow through the application.
