@jnesselr @hackaday Oh totally. At a massive scale I bet things are wild. As an Etsy shop designer, I typically have a lot of prints all in the <2hr range. So with only 2 printers the startup procedure becomes the most tedious part. Both are valid options. It's whichever fits the application best

@hackaday @f0r63 Having helped setup a few production 3d printing operations, honestly it doesn't add up that much. At that scale, consistency is paramount. Every tiny issue gets beat to death by the sheer scale of it all. If there's an issue to be had, you will find it on a print farm.

Auto bed leveling: essential feature or overcomplication? What's your take?

@ChuckHellebuyck @hackaday If it works then perfect! I've only used ABL on cheaper builds that did not have a rock solid bed. The calibration drift didn't make saving optimal, but if a bed is solid enough to stay in level I don't mind dialing it in myself rather than a one time use component.

@f0r63 @hackaday If you level once and then save to EEPROM you don’t lose time, it instantly recalls the settings with an M420 command in the start GCode.
