@zaymonantonio I think KiCad and ngspice might get you some of the way there... But the tools for electronics haven't really been designed for tinkerers 😥.

What's the best software to build / visualise electronics and circuits? Primary use-case would be mucking around with tube amplifier designs so I'm less interested in transistors and gate logic

In @rustlang, why does std::String have `.to_ascii_lowercase()` and `.to_ascii_uppercase()`, but no `.to_ascii()`? Strings are encoded as UTF-8 so they aren't ASCII by default. I feel like I'm missing something obvious
