The market will almost always crash as the start time approaches, previously because APIs were cut off by exchanges two hours before the event started. But with electronic delivery nowadays, the supply volume of tickets available is significantly more than 10 years ago. It’s all automated and optimized around a perishable item, so the simple solve here is to utilize your leverage as a buyer and wait them out. The algorithm will do the work from there. But people are lazy/busy, and pay a premium to just get it over with/feel a sense of security their admission is locked in. Thus, brokers/primary vendors continue to win.
