During his trial, San and Khoi traditional leader Wayne Aah Xammi Petersen, who also serves as a Cllr in the Kouga Muni, requested a Khoisan-speaking interpreter to translate the court proceedings. It was, however, established that he neither spoke nor understood the language 😂

This bridge is being constructed on one of the busiest township roads in South Africa, yet you will hardly see it dominating the news every day or being personally attributed to President Cyril Ramaphosa. Development is treated as a national duty, not a personal campaign project. In Zimbabwe, by now the bridge would already be covered with pictures of Emmerson Mnangagwa, with endless propaganda claiming it as an individual achievement rather than taxpayers’ work. It shows how primitive our politics has become as a country, where basic public infrastructure is turned into a personality cult instead of normal government service delivery.

during my time in Taiwan, I carried an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) that documented my purpose of residence, address, employment, and personal details, making it straightforward for authorities to verify who I am and my status. Taiwan, China, South Korea and other countries systems requires migrants to report to police within 24 hours of international travel and re-register any address changes. I also underwent qualification authentication, police clearance, and medical screening. This raises an important question: How do we track migrants in South Africa? Do we know where they live or what they do? Why can't we implement similar accountability measures, mandatory reporting for international travel, address registration updates, and rigorous vetting processes including qualification verification, police clearance, and medical tests? A transparent, well-documented migration system strengthens both security and integration.

This lady sacrificed years of her time in University trying to get her pharmacy degree. She got it, became successful and opened her own pharmacy in Hillcrest KZN last week. Less than 7 days later, thugs came in and shot her dead along with her cashier. 💔🤦🏽‍♂️

@struuBob @lee_Duruwe_ The Sunday Times ran a story over the weekend titled the "The rise and fall of Joe Ferrari". It was alleged in that article that he owned about 400 taxis with a turnover of around 300 million, I think they said monthly.

Dangote Group
Dangote Group@DangoteGroup·
Representatives of South Africa’s Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), alongside the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), recently visited the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals and Dangote Fertiliser Limited as interest continues to grow around Africa-led industrialisation and long-term infrastructure investment. The visit reflects a broader shift taking place across the continent; one where African institutions are increasingly looking inward to support large-scale projects capable of strengthening energy security, industrial capacity, food systems, and regional economic resilience. As the refinery moves towards its forthcoming IPO, engagements like this reinforce the growing recognition of strategic infrastructure as a critical driver of Africa’s long-term growth and economic transformation. #DangoteRefinery #DangoteGroup #Industrialisation

We recently took our kids & their friends to the Gold Reef City museum. It's unbelievable how a place where people go for carousels, fun & joy-rides is actually a monument of injustice, exploitation & the worst kind of naked capitalism. It was infuriating reading about the inhumane work conditions Africans had to endure in those mines. The exploitation of their labour. The exploitation of their bodies. The unfair wage system that was designed to keep them poor & perpetually enslaved to those horrid living and working conditions. It took something strong and fermented to calm me down after that visit.

136 years ago, the man who broke the spell was born. If Hồ Chí Minh could see today’s world, he would not be surprised. He knew that history bends toward balance, not empire. He would look at Vietnam's victory, still standing, still sovereign, still proof that the most powerful military on earth can be defeated by a people who refuse to disappear. He would look at China’s rise, at Russia's defiance, at Africa’s awakening, at Cuba's endurance, at Iran's resistance, and smile. Not because the struggle is over. But because the world is finally beginning to resemble the one he died believing in. A world where power no longer means domination. Where sovereignty is not a privilege but a birthright. He would say what he later gave Vietnam as an immortal truth: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom." That spirit has outlived its borders. It lives wherever the Global South refuses to bow. Happy birthday, Uncle Hồ. The spell is broken. The prophecy holds.

South Africa was one of the countries that listened to drakes album the most.(top 3 if I’m not mistaken). We really do have the people to boost our own artists and make them superstars. Y’all just don’t care about actually uplifting artists in our country.🤷🏾‍♂️

This is very rare footage of a Delta Force rescue of an American hostage in Iraq. This occurred in 2005 approximately 15 miles south of Baghdad. The hostage, Roy Hallums, from Memphis Tennessee was found at a farmhouse in an underground bunker.
