Mr President @officialABAT appointed Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd) to help organise our military into a potent force. A fine General who had just been retired from service. His appointment was celebrated by all and sundry. It looked like a breath of fresh air.
What does he do? He is out here wearing GCGM on his cap. The first time I have seen someone decorate a hula so much. He is showing his hands too early and making his ambitions too obvious. I have no issue with any such ambitions.
If no one around him will tell him, I will do him the favours. It’s a poor look.
Even politicians that didn’t (supposedly) accidentally become one aren’t so blatant and out of touch. And amidst such a security challenge, he carries that GCGM cap and goes to do a handshake with the president in London. Was he also invited by the King of England?
A conventional politician being so badly behaved would have been bad enough. A recently retired fine officer politicking harder than politicians is where shock comes to meet disgust. And the rank and file are meant to be motivated and excited by these shenanigans?
Let those who have been appointed to work do their job. I hope this won’t earn me a Bwala-esque soft block. This is the business of a country and we must take it seriously.
I took up a case privately with a minister yesterday because I had direct access to him. And I knew him to be serious and reasonable. I am posting this here publicly because it’s the only option available to me. GCGM needs to fix up and that won’t be by us seeing those initials on his head at all times. We already know he is GCGM.
I like the man and he looks like he cares. He just needs to show it. New hires must hit the ground running already and he hasn’t hit the ground, let alone be deemed to be running.
We can’t even say he is a new hire now. It’s been over 3 months. It’s still the same difference, if not worse. We want results please. Please go back to the plain cap you wore when you were sworn in and leave these photo ops for ministers that can’t afford not to do them. There are bigger rewards on the back of a job well done. If things get better, I probably wouldn’t notice the cap that much.

He won a scholarship to study Nuclear Engineering in China
His immediate younger sister won a scholarship to study Nuclear Physics at UCLA
Their eldest sister studied Mathematics at the University of Ibadan
Their father was a professor of Physics, a graduate of the University of Liverpool
Their mother was a professor of Mathematics, a graduate of the University of Ife
Both their parents still lecture, but now at a private University in Abuja while taking on Sabbatical positions in several universities all over the world.
He graduated top of his class in China
His plan was to move from China to the USA on a Scholarship or through a special type of visa that would qualify him for employment in a good multinational company or an engineering firm like SpaceX or TESLA
Unfortunately, the government policy in the USA changed just as he was graduating, and the visa type he was hoping to take advantage of became restricted
His other route, which would be through scholarship and a tenured position as a lecturer, was also affected by the government policy.
He had some opportunities to work in China, but he was tired of the country.
He really desired to move to the USA or Canada, but there were no offers from there, and he was too busy to apply for jobs like other people.
He was a first-class brain, the type that headhunters queue and even pay to have lunch with
The election of one politician could indeed change things both negatively and positively for people.
He never expected to be affected by anything political in his life due to the success he has recorded in the academic world.
He was a name that was well spoken and recognized in tertiary institutions of note all over the world.
Eventually, he got an offer from India.
It was not what he wanted, but it was a different experience and one that could one day come in handy, especially since he read that some industries in Nigeria had adopted indian software and technology.
One could never tell when such an experience would come in handy.
He accepted the offer from India and resumed as the Director of the Technical Division of the company that employed him.
He got a very large office, an apartment, a driver, and other perks apart from his salary.
It was the life he wanted, but not in the country he desired.
He told himself he would stick with them till the end of his five-year contract and leave.
The present government in the USA will only spend four years in office, and the next president might change all the policies that have prevented him from moving to the USA.
The deputy director he was working with was an Indian, she had been with the company for four years and would have been promoted to his role if the company hadn't decided to outsource the role to him
He treated the lady with respect and listened to her input and counsel before making decisions.
The company was kind to him as everything he touched seemed to turn to gold.
The company started experiencing its optimum productivity from the month he joined, and month after month, he surpassed himself.
The CEO, a billionaire, invited him to lunch to celebrate new milestones almost every month
One day, he woke up, and he couldn't remember who he was or what he did.
It was an affliction that didn't announce itself. As if a bulb in his head was switched off, and his mind remained in perpetual darkness.
The CEO of the company was worried when they didn't see him at the office for a week.
When they eventually checked up on him, they realised he was lost in a hypnotic haze
He was able to do the basic things like cook, eat, and dress himself, but that was all.
He was not sleeping, just staring into space all day
He was not even speaking or functional beyond the basics.
They got doctors, psychiatrists, and behavioural specialists to examine him.
The recommendation was for him to be taken to a familiar environment outside India for a while
Everybody said it was stress and other mumbo jumbo.
He didn't have a concussion, no accident, no trauma of any kind, and yet he had become a vegetable of sorts.
His office reached out to his next of kin in Nigeria and gave them the news.
Tickets were sent to his sister in Nigeria to aid her journey to India so that she could fly with him back to Nigeria
The sister in Nigeria reached out to the sister in Canada
They didn't want to alarm their parents and decided to travel to India together to see their brother
The sister in Nigeria reached out to the brother in Jeans and a T-shirt
Sir, there is a fire on the mountain
I got a call from my brother's place of work in India
They said he has developed a mental illness, and they want me to come to India so that I can escort him back to Nigeria.
Please, sir, pray with me
What is the Holy Spirit saying?
They prayed.
The instruction was simple
When you get to India, take him to his office
When you get to his office, make him sit on his seat while you read four scriptures out loud and pray in the Spirit
"Should we call you when we get there? We would like you to pray for him, sir," The sister said
The Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt said, "That will not be necessary. Let us be smart and do what the Holy Spirit said we should do, the way he said we should do it."
The two sisters arrived in India and went straight to his apartment.
The apartment was about ten minutes drive from the office.
They took him to the office and told the staff members who asked that they wanted to pack his personal effects.
They were shown into the office
When they got there, they sat him at his work desk, prayed in the spirit in hushed tones as they opened their Bibles and began to read the scriptures.
Ezekiel 37, Song of Solomon 16, Psalm 57, Ezekiel 1, and Revelation 4.
By the time they finished reading Ezekiel 1, he had fallen asleep with his head on his desk
The sister sent a picture of him sleeping to the Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt.
The Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt told them to keep praying until he wakes up by himself. He also told them that it is likely the person who stoked the fire of the affliction would see that he was recovering and come to them, but they should not panic
The atmosphere they had stirred would arrest the demon and its agent
The sisters prayed on and also took turns reading the scriptures every thirty minutes in between prayers.
At about 8 pm
They heard a knock on the door
They opened it, and it was the assistant director
She looked at them, looked at the man on the desk, and fell down face-first as if she had been hit with something on the head
The sisters continued to pray till midnight. He woke up fully back to himself.
His deputy also woke up from her "slain in the spirit experience," but oddly, she could not stand up on her feet. Every time she attempted to stand, her knees buckled, and she fell back to the floor.
The Sisters asked her to confess what she did so that she could be healed, and she did so.
She said she felt slighted that they gave him the position that ought to have been given to her rightfully, and she went to seek redress with a local shaman.
She was led to Christ, and she was healed instantly.
The brother was a born-again Christian, but he was not spirit-filled, and he was not stirring up the Spirit of God in Him as he should have been doing. This was why he fell prey to such a demonic attack without any resistance.
The sisters returned to Nigeria and Canada, respectively, with songs of praise in their mouths and an assurance that the power of God is at work in them through the Holy Spirit.
The brother continued to thrive in India
His walk with the Lord became strong.
He started an online fellowship for professional Christians in India that is still thriving till today.
This event happened in January 2025.

While we were distracted, this happened:
On February 25th 2026, Hon. Alex Mascot, a key member of the Aids and Loans Committee confronted Wale Edun, over the disappearance of capital project funds, despite trillions of naira in loans and record-breaking revenues.
It began as a routine budget defence but escalated into a high stakes interrogation when Hon. Mascot revealed a disturbing pattern:
- N1.15 trillion had been raised and specifically approved by the National Assembly to fund 30% of the 2025 capital budget.
- Multiple loans had been secured, including: $1.2 billion for digital infrastructure, $500 million for economic stimulus, $500 million for MSMEs, $500 million from the AFDB for economic governance and energy transition, and a recent executive request for $21 million, 15 billion Yen, and 4 billion Euros.
He queried why despite this avalanche of borrowed money and strong revenue performance by agencies like FIRS, Customs, and others, capital projects across Nigeria remain at zero disbursement. "With all these funds put together, I want you to enlighten us on why the 2024 budget is yet to be fully implemented, and why the 2025 budget has only been funded 34%, most of which is recurrent expenditure?"
He asked the minister to enlighten Nigerians on why the capital projects still remain at zero.
Minister Wale Edun shifted responsibility to the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, claiming she handled disbursements.
The infuriated committee members then asked; "If the substantive Minister of Finance cannot account for ₦1.15 trillion approved for capital projects, who can?"
Some lawmakers called for the ministers to resign, but the committee had no choice but to adjourn the hearing to Thursday, February 26th, summoning the Minister of State to provide the clarity the nation deserves.
After the committee meeting, Hon. Mascot spoke to the press and said, “When capital projects funding are at zero, development stops. When development stops, Nigerians suffer”.
On Thursday, hearing resumed, then the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, was summoned to account for the missing ₦1.15 trillion. It was confirmed that ₦1.15 trillion was indeed approved for capital projects. However, disbursement protocols require multiple sign-offs, and that certain "pre-disbursement conditions" had not been met by some ministries.
She argued that while the funds exist, they cannot be released until Project documentation is complete
The committee members, armed with the Health Minister's earlier testimony that he received only ₦38 million of his ₦286 billion allocation, then asked, "if protocols were the issue, why were some ministries given the runaround while others weren't?"
Mascot rose again and asked: “Mr. Chairman, can the minister tell this committee which specific ministry met all conditions and still did not receive funding? If none existed, why was ₦1.15 trillion approved when the government knew conditions weren't met?"
The minister could not provide a single example. Mascot then said:
"· If capital funds were approved, where are they?
· If they were misappropriated, who is responsible?
· If this is a crime, who will be held accountable?"
Mascot stated that if funds were approved but never reached their destination, that is not poor administration. That is a crime.
On February 27th 2026, Hon. Mascot was invited to Aso Rock by President Tinubu for a close door meeting.
After the meeting with the president, Hon. Ikwechegh announced his resignation from his party APGA, announcing his intention to join the APC.
This is a classic move by Tinubu who always buys off his critics and sadly, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh has become his latest victim.
Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh will soon begin to sing “on your mandate” and he will never never again demand for accountability. It will be; see no evil, speak no evil.
All these happened while we were shouting Mirabel, Simi, VDM and Mitchy.
Good PM.

"She saved a stranger’s child with $15. Decades later, she discovered why he had been searching for her.
In 1982, a Kenyan boy named Chris Mburu stood on the brink of losing everything. He was the brightest student in his rural district, studying by lamplight inside an earthen house without electricity. But his family could not afford his school fees. Without help, his education would end — along with any chance of escaping a life spent picking coffee in the fields.
Meanwhile, across the world in Sweden, an 80-year-old kindergarten teacher named Hilde Back came across a notice for a child sponsorship program. She chose a name from a list: Chris Mburu, Kenya. She began sending $15 every school term. There was no recognition, no expectation of gratitude — just a quiet decision to help a child she believed she would never meet.
That small amount changed everything.
Chris stayed in school. Over time, he and Hilde exchanged letters. She asked about his teachers, his studies, and his dreams. Through her words, he realized she wasn’t just part of an organization. She was a real person who believed in him. And he never forgot her.
Chris eventually graduated at the top of his law class at the University of Nairobi. He later earned a Fulbright scholarship to Harvard. He went on to become a United Nations human rights lawyer, helping prosecute genocide and crimes against humanity around the world.
Yet one thing always weighed on his heart. He had never properly thanked the woman who made his journey possible. In truth, he barely knew who she was.
In 2001, Chris founded a scholarship program for children like himself — talented students from poor families whose potential might otherwise be lost. He asked the Swedish Ambassador in Kenya to help him locate his mysterious sponsor so he could name the foundation after her.
They found her. Hilde Back. Still alive. Still living quietly in Sweden.
Chris traveled to meet her for the first time. He expected to meet a wealthy philanthropist. Instead, he found a humble, warm woman living simply — genuinely surprised that anyone considered her actions remarkable.
Then filmmaker Jennifer Arnold began documenting their reunion. During her research, she uncovered something Hilde had never told Chris.
Hilde Back had not been born in Sweden. She was born in Nazi Germany in 1922 to a Jewish family. At sixteen, when Hitler’s Nuremberg Laws banned Jewish children from attending school, strangers helped smuggle her to Sweden. Her parents stayed behind because Sweden’s refugee policies did not allow older Jews to enter. Both were later sent to concentration camps. Her father died there. Her mother disappeared, never to be heard from again.
Hilde survived the Holocaust because strangers helped her escape. She lost her own education because of who she was.
Fifty years later, she quietly paid for the education of a child across the world — a child who would grow up to fight the same hatred that destroyed her family.
When Chris learned her story, he wept. Hilde, meanwhile, had no idea that the boy she sponsored had devoted his life to prosecuting genocide.
In 2003, Hilde traveled to Kenya for the inauguration of the Hilde Back Education Fund. The entire village welcomed her as an honorary elder. In 2012, she returned again to celebrate her 90th birthday, surrounded by hundreds of children whose futures had been transformed through her generosity.
Hilde Back passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 98.
Today, the Hilde Back Education Fund has supported nearly 1,000 Kenyan children in continuing their education. Many have graduated from universities around the world. Many now give back — mentoring younger students and contributing monthly donations to support the next generation.
One woman. Fifteen dollars. One child.
That child created a foundation. That foundation changed hundreds of lives. And those lives continue to change others.
