Maxx Crosby has been sober for 6 years. Might not matter to some people but that’s a big deal and he fought demons to get to this point. I personally don’t take these types of claims lightly if you don’t have evidence.

@RapSheet Appreciate DeCosta coming out and addressing it directly. Sounds like they genuinely tried for Crosby, hit a snag with the physical, then pivoted fast to lock up Hendrickson. The timing looks bad, but sometimes the dominoes just fall that way. No conspiracy needed.

Interesting to note: #Ravens GM Eric DeCosta said the team was attempting to sign Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson. "I understand how people would feel that way (about conspiracies). But I have a responsibility to the Ravens."

It’s been made clear by multiple people around the NFL at all levels that Baltimore had all the information and understood where Maxx Crosby’s knee was in terms of his recovery timeline. Many in the league believe GM Eric DeCosta and the Ravens ultimately just got cold feet.

One GM summarized the feelings around the league: “This is very much bullshit on Baltimore’s part.”
