I'm not a dog lover, but when I was coming back home, I found a little puppy on the road. He was tied with a chain and was crying, and I could see sadness, pain, and hunger in his eyes.
He wasn’t just tied; there was also a lock on the chain, as if someone had purposely left him there to die.
I looked around but didn’t see anyone; at first, I thought he might have an owner, but even after two hours, no one came for him.
I decided that I would take him away, no matter what happened.
After 10 minutes, a man came and asked what the problem was. He told me to mind my own business.
"This puppy is mine," I said, to which he angrily replied, "It's my decision; it’s my dog, and I’ll keep him wherever I want."
He then said if I was so concerned, I should give him ten dollars and take the puppy. Hearing that made me happy because I didn’t know how to help the little puppy before.
I gave him ten dollars and warned him that if I saw any other dog around here, I would file a case against him. After saying that, I took the puppy with me.
I named him Luffy.
I made sure to feed him, and later I bought a bed for him from the city market.
Today, Luffy is very happy with me. He has accepted me as his owner.
