Kree8 website will NOT lag now!
Just ditched Framer and we'll be coding our future client websites - glad we took another risk of trying something new
No-code tools are great…
until you care about performance.
I was so shocked to see how our website worked on Safari, and I have a MacBook Pro (M4 Max) 💀
Switched to code (Next.js) and suddenly everything feels instant.

@sergyproject @framer i don't see any bad behavior , i'm just trying to educate on why this is wrong. As a template creator and for educating your potential customers as well. Who's laughing at what? Chill, drink some water and think this through better. Good luck with your template and customers.

Free Framer template: beautiful.
$50 template: same thing.
$200 template: your client opens a CMS, changes the entire page in 2 minutes, never messages you again.
That’s the gap. That’s what I built. 🫡

you don't have to adjust any layout , you just double click a text to edit it and click an image to change it what are you even talking about? you don't have to be a designer to edit content on a page made in framer, if you know how to use wordpress or any other text editing tools you can do it in framer with 0 knowledge 😂 . AGAIN as long as the template is well made.

In my opinion, this approach to editing in Framer completely breaks what makes Framer so unique. It even undermines the logic of “On-Page Editing,” which was an incredible feature built on top of Framer’s excellent editing experience.
What you’re showing here is reminiscent of the worst years of WordPress, where editing fields appeared completely disconnected from the content. Framer is the closest we’ve come to true WYSIWYG—so why break that now with an approach like this? Not to mention the added complexity it brings to the CMS, and the number of extra collections you need to achieve this level of granularity without making the end user give up by the end of the day.
The idea behind #Framer, in my opinion, is the exact opposite of this.
A solid use of page layouts and components, backed by a strong design system, is the closest we’ve come to perfection so far. This feels like a step backward, an odd moonwalker. It’s appealing and demonstrates a creative approach in this sense, but it’s moving in the opposite direction.
