Give AI the creative power of human hands 🤖 GenRobot just launched Gen DAS Dex, and the real story is not the glove itself. It is the data stack behind it. Dex captures 23 DoF of hand motion, 1mm fingertip positioning, 0.02° joint precision, and 0.05N tactile sensitivity, then syncs that with wrist vision and GenRobot’s Ego system for millisecond-level head-hand alignment. That matters because embodied AI does not just need video. It needs ground-truth data for how humans grasp, adjust force, rotate objects, and recover in the middle of real physical interaction. What GenRobot is building looks less like a device company and more like a human-data infrastructure layer: capture hardware, egocentric sensing, structured datasets, and a pipeline to clean, label, and feed that data into models. If internet-scale text built language models, this is the same bet for robotics: real human interaction data, collected at scale, with enough precision for robots to actually learn how to use their hands.

This robotic hand can be 3D printed by anyone and assembled in under 8 hours. Researchers at ETH Zurich created the Orca hand, fully open-sourced with artificial bones and tendons. For context, advanced robotic hands cost over $100,000 and require constant maintenance... Orca costs under $2,000. 50x less (!) A self-calibration system maps every motor to every joint, eliminating the manual tuning that tendon-driven hands usually need. Each fingertip has built-in tactile sensors covered by silicone skin. The hand can actually feel when it touches something, giving it feedback to grip objects without crushing them or letting them slip. It can hold over 20 lbs, learn tasks by watching human demonstrations, and transfer skills trained in simulation directly to the real world. The team proved its durability by having it pick up and place a cube over 2,000 times across 7 hours with no human intervention. The full design files and source code are open source, so any robotics lab in the world can start building one today.

🚨🚜 AI Is Now Farming… Lasers Are Killing 600,000 Weeds Per Hour🚨 Post This is not sci-fi. This is modern agriculture. What you are looking at is the Carbon Robotics LaserWeeder, one of the most advanced AI farming machines operating in the world today. It is mounted behind a standard @JohnDeere tractor and runs entirely off the tractor’s diesel engine through the PTO shaft. Here is what is actually happening. The machine uses high-resolution cameras and NVIDIA-powered AI processors to scan the field in real time. The system analyzes every plant it sees. Crop or weed. In milliseconds the AI identifies the difference with sub-millimeter accuracy. Once the weed is identified… A laser fires.
