More often than not you see guys smacking each other around, chasing each other around, etc. You rarely see the bear hug of someone who's shaped like a pencil with their arms down.

@MaxMcCoig10 Who celebrates like this in spring training? You're also completely missing the point. It's lacking the awareness that celebrating like that comes with a higher risk of injury. Not where geographically or in what level of competition it happens. It could be a spelling bee.

@MaxMcCoig10 @mrclams18 Jumping on home plate by yourself and breaking an ankle is a fluke. Getting beat hugged by a 250 lb man with your arms straight down and then him jumping up and down around the mound is completely avoidable.

@facesofmetsfans So I don’t think MLB should issue a clause to discourage players from competing if it’s something that means a lot to them. Essentially it would also help grow the brand. We can’t have baseball compete with itself (2/2)

I’m noticing a common denominator of people who feel that the WBC is the meaningless tournament. For myself personally, as someone who was raised by a family that came from a different country, raised differently, culturally ( 1/3)

@JoceyTor It's not up for debate if you engage in any other sports activity and you get hurt. Basketball in the driveway? You lose money. It's an MLB tournament which makes it more complicated but still.
