First the Brentford goal in 21/22 that everyone celebrated. Then this one. After that, Arteta and Jover said, “alright, bet” and adapted to what the PL had deemed was acceptable.

Pretty simple, really.
The EPL has allowed grappling, blocking, physical contests between attackers and defenders at set pieces all season.
Adjudicating of these moments is inconsistent.
But one thing you can’t do, is put your arm across the keeper so that he can’t jump.
Being close to the keeper, blocking them, surrounding them and making it difficult to to get to the ball is ever-present.
But putting your arm across them, holding them down and impeding their jump in any way, is clearly illegal.
It was never a goal.
Right decision.

Look at the kind of articles the media are publishing about Arsenal. I’ve said it time and time again, there’s been a media agenda against Arsenal for years. They tried to hide it for a long time, but now they’ve all come out of hiding with the club getting close to glory.

Tell Peter Schmeichel that "blocking the keeper", meaning standing in a position, without fouling the keeper, as to not allow him to move freely, is completely legal in the sport of football.
Grabbing the hand of the keeper to not allow him to grab the ball, that, in fact, is a foul in the sport of football.
Pundits pushing ignorance must be one of the worst things this sport has.
