Kenapa narasi heroik Pak Habibi seperti ini terus beredar? Beberapa waktu lalu ada ekonom yang ngasih debunk. Intinya, ini heroisme semu. Kenapa? Yang paling saya ingat dari penjelasannya: Pak Habibi menaikkan suku bunga SBI hingga 70%. Ini artinya suku bunga kredit (pinjaman usaha, KPR, modal kerja, dll.) ikut melonjak. Pajak juga naik, aset negara ada yang dijual, hingga PHK massal. Kita miskin waktu itu lho. Karen penguatan rupiahnya, menurut ekonom tadi, hanya "kemenangan semu". Kalau mau dicoba seperti itu di masa sekarang, ya, hancur negara ini. 😅
