Quand j’avais débattu avec Éric Dupond-Moretti, je l’ai mis en face de ses résultats lamentables en matière d’insécurité. Vous savez quelle était sa « ligne de défense » ? Il répond : « J’ai quand même augmenté le budget de la Justice comme jamais auparavant ! » Pour lui, augmenter le budget de son ministère, c’est une bonne chose en soi. C’est même un accomplissement politique. Voilà la folie de notre système de dépenses : augmenter les budgets, ce n’est pas vraiment ce qu’on attend d’un gouvernement. Au contraire même. Si, en plus, avec plus d’argent il obtient des résultats encore pires qu’auparavant, on obtient la catastrophe dans laquelle ils nous font vivre. Il faut radicalement inverser la logique.

I used to believe Donald Trump was simply an outstanding President. The constant lawfare, the two impeachments, the endless Russia collusion hoax, the Mar-a-Lago raid, the gag orders, the efforts to remove him from the ballot, the attempts to bankrupt him and throw him in prison... all of it aimed at stopping him from ever returning to power. That's when it became undeniable to me: No one gets this level of coordinated, hysterical opposition unless they pose a genuine existential threat to the system...
