Winning cultures don’t have athletes pointing fingers, blaming others, or making excuses. Winning cultures also don't have coaches doing these things either. Winning cultures have people coming together to find solutions, share results, and take responsibility for the process!

Not every athlete will end up earning All-Conference honors, however, every athlete has the ability to be an All-Conference TEAMMATE!

The volleyball team had a Great team bonding canoe trip today. The work put in today will help make us stronger tomorrow. They also had a great time while doing it!

PLAYERS: Excuses never get you closer to your goals. Blaming things on others never gets you closer to your goals. Losers find reasons why they can't do something. Champions always find ways to overcome challenges, avoid obstacles, minimize distractions, and get better!

Culture isn't just some cool poster on the wall or a well-written email to your team. Your culture are the behaviors, decisions, and habits your entire group has on a daily basis. Your culture (good or bad) is lived out and demonstrated daily.

Good Lesson for all High School players.

PLAYERS: Remember that everybody wants to be a champion, but not everyone is willing to prepare to be a champion. You don't get what you wish for but rather what you work for.

Culture happens daily. It is the result of actions, behaviors, thoughts, and words. Culture is intentional. You either intentionally fight for your culture or you intentionally decide it is not important enough to fight for.

PLAYERS: If you are the most talented player on your team then you should also be hardest worker on the team. Lead by example. Set the standard.

💬 PLAYER: "Are these summer workouts optional?" 💬 COACH: "Yes, but so is your playing time."

PLAYERS- You don't necessarily shine when the spotlight is turned on. The spotlight typically just shines a light on the work you've done when no one was watching. What do you do in the unseen hours? What do you do when no one is watching?
