Pradeep Gupta of Axis My India tells @ndtv that 6 out of 10 voters being approached are refusing to reveal who they voted for. Typically, only about 10% of respondents decline to speak to pollsters. In West Bengal, that number was around 20% in the past. This time, it has more than doubled. Gupta believes this reluctance to speak is what makes the West Bengal election extremely unpredictable — and very tough to call. Catch Pradeep Gupta on @ndtv as he shares insights from the phase 1 seats after being on the ground.

Exposed a shocking case. An already employed govt official who is drawing a good salary used an EWS certificate to secure selection in the recently declared JKAS results so I filed an RTI to bring the truth out. What did the administration do? Kept me waiting deliberately till the 28th day. Then denied information calling it third party under Sec 8(1)(j). Even claimed details not available to avoid accountability. This is not governance. This is institutional protection of fraud. EWS was meant for the genuinely poor. Today it is being hijacked by the already privileged while hardworking, deserving candidates are pushed out. When the system shields fraudsters and silences transparency, it sends a dangerous message. Rules are only for the honest, not the powerful. If this is how recruitment is conducted, then what faith should the youth have left in the system? @khurpenchh @Gaamuk @JKACB
