@seanmdav This is a lost battle; the fallacy was always poorly named in the first place. You won’t convince people they’re “wrong” when the literal meaning of their words does match what they mean to say. Let it go and worry about the winnable ones like “literally” or “couldn’t care less”.

Some have choices that just amount to deciding what order you're reading the routes in. How about one with no choice in how the story goes, but separate gameplay mechanics?

@fakeport @joheeei @Dr_Derael I believe my standard isn't arbitrary. If you have a choice in how shit plays out, that qualifies as a game, but if you don't have a choice, then it's not a game.

@Dr_Derael I do agree with this, in which case, depending on the amount and the type of gameplay, i don't really consider them visual novels anymore but rather call then by their secondary genre
