@lukas_m_ziegler Gideon robotics showcased loading an actual truck few weeks ago. This is nice since it can stack pallets close to each other, but its not close to a real truck. I work on one of these, and having a trailer to drive in, with a bouncy floor is a nightmare for the robots.

@Profesor_Woland Jučer trebam na Linuxu instalirati Nvidia drivere. Instaliram ih, prestane raditi sve. Mreža, bluetooth, jedan od ekrana... ali ja nemam izbora, nisam siguran zašto bi itko tko ima izbora radio na Linuxu.

@fancyKlosh Hahahaha Da sam u mac ekosustavu bih ostavio sve na macos, ali s obzirom da nisam puno lakše (kad radi, a idem prema tome) mi je na Linuxu spojit sve sa svim drugim uređajima

Linuxaši pomoć! Disk properties mi kaže da sam owner, kaže mi da mogu čitat i pisat po disku, ali ako idem probat prebacit folder koji postoji u folder koji sam novo kreirao, kaže mi permission denied

@rohanpaul_ai Lifting part is not that impressive as its technically a pulley, but snake-in part is amazing. To maintain force to slide under someting as heavy as human body is great.

MIT’s latest research just just gave Robots a great new skill to grip delicate yet heavy objects without breaking them. The big problem is robots often cannot pick up heavy but fragile things because gripping hard enough usually means crushing or slipping. A single gripper shape has to do 2 conflicting jobs, it must move freely to form a wrap, then resist big forces while staying gentle. Open-ended grippers can snake into place, but they usually need stiffness to hold, and stiffness puts load into a few high-pressure contact points. Very soft grippers spread pressure well, but they can buckle or slide when the object is heavy, so they fail at the holding stage. This new idea from MIT, called loop closure grasping, completely avoids that tradeoff. Loop closure grasping starts as an open loop, meaning the robot has a free tip that can snake around clutter and find a good wrap. Once the wrap is right, the tip locks back onto the base, turning the shape into a closed loop that surrounds the object. Now the load is carried mainly by tension, like a sling, so the loop can stay very floppy in bending and still hold strongly without pointy pressure. The prototype uses inflatable “vine” beams that grow from the tip, then a clamp and winch to fasten, tighten, and finally deflate for soft holding. That combo lets it do awkward grasps, like lifting a 6.8kg kettlebell from a cluttered bin or pulling an object from 3m away. --- Paper - science. org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.ady9581

@HowieDuhzit @thekitze Not true. Windows and MacOS have a great advantage of having a functiinal GUI. It doesn't freeze when you put your laptop to sleep, and bunch of other quirks. Linux is mighty when it comes to CLI, but its GUI is still not on level on Windows, and ages behind MacOS.

@thekitze Literally hasn't for years neither does MacOS. For atleast 5-6 year Linux has been dominate.

@JuzoOsk A ne znam. Dosta su ovi tu betona izlili. Navodno su mu nudili 75 milijna, pa nije htio. Ok ako sad ispadnu sa vlasti situacija se mijenja, ali sumnjam da bi ovi imali tolike pare.
