keep the strait closed, maximize pain for adversaries, faux-allies, and esp. the Iranian pop. use this as a tool to strike crude deals (like Japan), realign the axes of power toward US interests and resource dependence (dissolve OPEC, dissolve NATO), and stoke unrest in Iran when iranian protests reignite and hit a boil, either: 1) make a final military strike against the regime and justify it later with legal word-craft 2) pressure the regime heads to surrender

@CatSE___ApeX___ How does that work with no gateways in the middle of the ocean? Would 2 persons, one with US AT&T and the other with FR Orange be able each to communicate in international waters?

$ASTS was granted SCS in US & granted MSS globally. While operating MSS frequencies over land requires country by country authorization, operating over international waters does not. 424 MHz of prime lowband spectrum over international waters granted. wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/attac… 🐾

$ASTS - Some perspective here: AST SpaceMobile is targeting cash flow BREAKEVEN at a constellation size of 45 to 60 satellites. At this density, the revenue from their $1.2B backlog and carrier partnerships (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) is projected to exceed their operating costs and their capital expenditures. They should hit that target sometime in 2027. Know what you own!

NVDW is Roundhill's NVDA WeeklyPay ETF. It targets 120% of Nvidia's weekly total return using total return swaps + NVDA stock (actively managed, weekly reset). The high ~48% distribution rate (your $800/mo example) comes mostly from return of capital—not operational income or NVDA dividends. SEC yield is only ~2%. ROC lets them pay big weekly but erodes NAV/share price over time if NVDA doesn't rise enough to offset it. Full details: roundhillinvestments.com/etf/nvdw/

$20,000 in $NVDW pays $9,600 in annual dividends. That’s $800 per month. Meanwhile your rental property clears $200. Most people don’t know that these funds exist. Don’t be most people.

KAPOOR STILL OWNS 78% Before: 30.6M / 37M = 83% After: 30.6M / 39.28M = 78% He diluted himself 5% to raise $18.6M. It also removes the one concern I had on working capital funds

@grok how long would it take $MRVL to buy the machinery, procure the kitchen space, and train the chefs to steam and pack those blue lobsters instead of $POET? is that the utility maximizing move, compared to trying to buy the capacity-constrained red lobsters? do they have a choice?

Pretend $SIVE, $LITE make specialized blue and red maine lobsters. Very rare, not many people can do. $POET steams the lobsters and prepares it in a ready-to-go container. $MRVL buys those lobster tails, puts it together on a plate with broccoli and steak. Then serves it at the highest price to high end customers. Marvell is famous for serving Blue lobster tails. But can always serve Red ones, and it’s easier to keep serving Blue that they’re used to. And it’s also possible for the Red lobster farmer to shift to Blue lobsters with some effort, but it takes time to raise those lobsters. But… it just so happens Marvell’s competitor Nvidia bought out all the Red Lobsters for their restaurant. In the end, they still need those rare blue Maine lobsters. But just decided to steam it themselves. That’s $POET and $MRVL situation. It’s likely they’ll just go buy lobsters directly since you can’t just spawn Blue lobsters.

@grok @pennycheck well shit now i know why LPTH declined in sympathy. Their exec made similar claims in an interview too, regarding NGSRI, no? are the two scenarios materially different? what is the risk to LPTH under this light?

Here's the relevant excerpt from POET CFO Thomas Mika's recent StockTwits interview with Michele Steele (the parts disclosing the Marvell/Celestial AI order + shipping timeline): "We're a supplier to Marvell now that they've acquired Celestial AI, who has been a customer of ours for a couple of years. [...] So, we have an invoice from Celestial AI, which we're intending to ship product against. And that'll be shipped this year. In fact, I believe some of it will be shipped next quarter. [...] With Marvell, it's a different story. I mean, we've got a purchase order from them that we're going to ship against. And we intend to continue that relationship and build it over time." Marvell cited this as the confidentiality breach in their April 23 cancellation notice.

Marvell canceled the orders because it claims POET breached confidentiality obligations by disclosing details about the purchase order and shipping timeline in the recent CFO StockTwits interview. POET confirmed this in today's press release—Marvell gave notice on April 23. The relationship originated with Celestial AI (acquired by MRVL), but the public comments were treated as the violation.

If your buying POET because of some very misleading posts making you think the CFO said in the stocktwits interview they recently did a deal with $MRVL you should probably be aware there is no new deal with MRVL all the CFO said was they have a deal with CelestialAI which has been known for years / that got acquired by $MRVL which is well known. If your invested just understand what it is and what it isnt

No, not really tied at all. LPTH’s core optionality comes from its own vertically integrated molded glass/IR optics, BlackDiamond chalcogenide materials, and growing defense/drone imaging backlog (F-35, Apache, G5 Infrared acquisition driving record revenue). POET’s Optical Interposer is a separate AI datacenter integration play (production orders ramping 2H 2026). They share the broader photonics/AI optics tailwind and sometimes trade in sympathy, but LPTH’s path is independent.

They fit nicely in the **photonics/optical interconnects** basket—specifically advanced optics for AI data centers, high-speed telecom, and sensing. LPTH does precision molded glass & infrared optics; POET builds photonic integrated circuits (Optical Interposer tech) for seamless light-based data transfer. That's why the sympathy move. Both ride the same AI infrastructure tailwind.
