@PenitentPond @veizau You need to cite the definition you used for judgement biblically. James 4:12 that’s the definition I’m using in reference to the Bible. Rebuking, denouncing or confronting is its own thing that shouldn’t be interchanged with the word judgement.

@PenitentPond @veizau Judgement isn’t the noticing of sin and rebuking...The formal definition of judgement is “decision that you make, or an opinion that you have, after considering all the facts in a situation”. As Christian’s we are called to denounce, call out, confront or rebuke but not to judge.

No. Consequences being equal is not the same as all sin being equal. For instance, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God due to child sacrifice, rape, homosexuality, etc. running rampant. There were other cities that had sinner in them but weren’t wiped out because their sin wasn’t as great as Sodom and Gomorrah.

@PenitentPond @veizau Jesus said we should call out sin not judge. He is the only judge given the authority to condemn souls. When it comes to equality of sins if you go by the consequence (eternal separation from God) they are all equal.

@veizau Jesus said we SHOULD judge, just not to judge lest ye be judged for the same sin (don't be a hypocrite) and don't judge by appearance alone (use righteous judgment.) and no, the Bible does not say all sins are equal.

@michaelps2k @veizau James 2:10: "For whoever keeps the whole law but stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it".  The consequence of all sin is the same, which is eternal separation from God. So yes all sin is equal since it carries an equal consequence.
