I’ve noticed many orgs stopped using Twitter (now X) despite having active audiences there. 🤯 Leaders, think objectively: Who loses out here? If you dislike your country’s leader, do you leave the country? Or your state if you dislike the governor? Real impact comes from staying, keeping your community intact, and being a voice for change. 🌍 #Leadership #SocialMediaStrategy #CommunityEngagement #Twitter #Change

Listening to some amazing stories from bootstrapped founders in Ottawa! There’s a common theme, when clients pay for your services and that becomes your primary source of funding, you keep a laser focus on delivering value and adapting quickly! @TiEConCanada

I’ve never supported Trump, but I just hope he can help end the tragedy in Gaza — and that Elon Musk can bring real change to broken politics. Recently, I attended a medical gala for humanitarian aid in Gaza, where doctors shared firsthand stories of unimaginable loss. Over 200,000 lives lost, and it’s barely reported in Western media. It’s time for politics and profit to stop costing lives. We need leaders with courage and compassion. I know Trump lacks compassion and so does Elon, but hopefully they'll see that war is bad for public markets and will work to end it. #Gaza #HumanRights #EndTheViolence

Totally agree! I attended a medical gala to provide medical aid to Gaza and listened to doctors and surgeons who just came back from volunteering in Gaza. They are saying they’ve lost track of the dead and wounded there. It’s easily 200,000 people that were killed in the genocide in Gaza.

It is funny that Donald Trump is always referred to as a convicted criminal in the media, as though the other candidate wasn't also a war criminal.

Joe Biden may have done lasting damage to the Democratic Party by alienating Silicon Valley. If inclusivity matters, the tech community—the backbone of American innovation—must be part of major policy decisions. Ignoring leaders like Elon Musk (e.g., excluding Tesla from the EV Summit) has consequences. I’ve supported Democrats, but power has clouded their vision. Musk’s support for Trump sends a strong message: it’s time for change. #TechPolicy #Innovation #Democrats #ElonMusk #2024

A closed mind is one of the biggest barriers to progress. It’s unfortunate how closed the minds of too many Canadian government officials are at all levels. The world needs more open minds, willing to have ideas challenged. That’s how real growth happens! 🌱 #GrowthMindset #OpenMind #Progress @ottawacity

It would be helpful to communicate that like you just did! 🎉 People have busy lives no one sits and reads city and traffic policies for fun. Our lives are bigger than that. I have no problem enforcing speed limits on the dot. Just say it in mass communication when the cameras are installed. It’s clear the people responsible for government projects do not have training or experience with change management communication. Do you know what’s the latest version of Wordpress or when the next version will be released? You visit Wordpress websites every day. I know it by heart because we work on this tech daily, but I can’t expect a non-tech person to know this like we do.

Far too many drivers with obstructed plates in Ottawa. How much are these drivers racking up in red light and speed camera fines that the city cannot collect? This cover is obviously being used to block enforcement cameras that photograph at an angle.

This may be the case in Toronto but not in Ottawa. Also there’s a whole world of ailments outside of the ER which there is no access to doctors for in Ottawa. We stopped seeing doctors in Ottawa due to unavailability and only see naturopaths now! Why are we paying for healthcare we don’t get any benefits from?

The ER recognized the internal hemorrhage, put in place all resuscitative measures and the surgeon came from another hospital and operated in an unfamiliar OR. The massive team saved the patient's life. Not headlines. Canada's publicly funded healthcare system. Worth saving.

@MarkoMiljus613 I now keep a dashcam recording of every car that speeds up and passes me at an unsafe distance. The last thing you want is you rear ending them accidentally and you being at fault.

I got assaulted today by a car driver after he sped up to extremely unsafe speeds and passed me within a couple inches only to have to stop at a red light at the next intersection. Got out of his car and started throwing punches at me.

@SjamieIt @ottawacity I think it’s more to do with bad drivers. I got rear ended twice in Barrhaven. Speed limit changed from 70 to 60, I slowed down and bam someone hit me from the back. There’s been a rise in careless impatient drivers in Ottawa last few years.

My coworker was struck by a hit-and-run driver at this PXO last week. She's quite bruised up. Nearly every time I see people trying to cross at this roundabout, I see drivers failing to yield to them. @ottawacity roundabout designs favour vehicle speed over🚴🚶 safety.

If the city wanted to inform and educate drivers in good faith all they needed to do was issue 1-2 months of warning tickets from all newly deployed speed cams. It’s clear the @ottawacity and @_MarkSutcliffe has either no training on change management or they just wanted a money grab from citizens.

@farhadkhan_ @ottawacity >"I have absolutely no problem driving on the speed limit.' >"I received 3 speed cam tickets this year." Uhh, it sure seems like you have a problem driving the speed limit... I've never gotten a speed camera ticket. It's easy. You just drive at or below the limit.

If you wanted to help and do your work in good faith with Ottawa citizens, all you needed to do is have a 1 - 2 months period where you only issue warning tickets to drivers from each speed cam deployment. This way everyone would know that the enforcement thresholds are going away. How hard was that to do? No you chose to scam people!

The amount of time you spend on these shots @_MarkSutcliffe are better spend on real work! Your Change Management communication about the speed cam deployments in @ottawacity was an outright disaster and a scam for drivers. The cam thresholds were never communicated anywhere resulting in too many otherwise safe drivers getting ticketed. Every person I spoke to this year in Ottawa has received a speeding ticket. Are we funding your travel and driving photography?

It’s clear you and the @ottawacity officials have either no Change Management experience or you just wanted a money grab from the speed cam deployments in Ottawa. Which one is it? Change management 101 1. What are you changing? 2. What are you not changing? 3. Who gets impacted? 4. What is the level of impact? 5. How long before it’s fully adopted? 6. What are we losing / gaining during the transition? 7. What is the benefit of the transition? Has the City communicated the above to drivers? Please show me! We all knew there was a 10 Km enforcement threshold on the speed limit in Ottawa. If the buffer is going away, just say it! Where was it said? Show me. It cannot be a coincidence that EVERY PERSON, I repeat EVERY PERSON I spoke to has received a speed cam ticket this year in Ottawa.

I’ve a super clean record, NO at fault accidents my entire life, yet I received 3 speed cam tickets this year. I have absolutely no problem driving on the speed limit, BUT in Ottawa we’ve always had an enforcement threshold of around 10 km. Meaning you could drive up to 10 km above the posted limit. Why was it never communicated by the city that this threshold is going away? It looks like the @ottawacity officials either have no change management experience or they just wanted a money grab. Which one is it? Again, I want safe roads, I want people to drive carefully. The @ottawacity and @_MarkSutcliffe has just scammed the drivers, who knows for how much in total.

The speed cam deployment in Ottawa was a Change Management disaster and an outright scam to collect money by the @ottawacity ! Every driver I spoke to this year has received a ticket. Why was there no communication about the camera thresholds? Are you giving tickets at 3 km over or 5 km over?
