Hey Twitter, It's been a while and I think I'm mentally ready to share again. Lots of changes. A quick summary: - I had to quit Twitter due to some personal "safety" issues. Still semi-present. I won't elaborate, but I'm done letting it limit me. - Not being able + not having anything to share with HeadshotPro kinda removed what I liked to do - Had to fire half the team. Felt horrible for a long time. Google AI update, Gemini competing directly plus tons of competitors cut revenue projections by a lot. - Pivot didn't work out which burned many months of work. - Burned-out again due to combination of the above, plus looking back absolutely hating what my work had become. Working with a team was amazing, but being reactive instead of pro-active every day due to managing and just tons of things happening sucked the joy away. - I'll probably share some more details over the coming weeks. So what changed: - I came to rest with the fact that it's OK to bring HeadshotPro to a point where it's "done". I've adjusted the focus, automated a ton of stuff and I'm really happy where we brought it (we launched a new website btw, check it out). We're slowly working to get all systems into place with everyone that's left. - Been doing a ton of cost-cutting and saving. Revenue is stable at still a beautiful number so it's a beautiful business to have. - It's OK to not take everything too serious. Work can wait, not everything has to be done now (typical burn-out symptoms) - I've been working on a new product for the last 6 months which has brought me a ton of joy. Actually building again is so much fun. - This product has automated about 95% of my coding work and tons of other business-related task, which finally brought back my time-freedom again. It's kinda funny how this came at the perfect time while most tasks came back on my plate. - I'm thinking of releasing it but need to get it to a point where it's ready first. I probably forgot a ton but wanted to give a quick update so it didn't feel weird coming back after such a long while. Now, tell me, what did I miss and how has everyone been?
