I'm an orthopedic surgeon, 63, still training seriously, and after three decades in practice, tendon pain is the single most common complaint that walks into my office. More common than fractures. More common than arthritis flares. Most patients, and plenty of physicians, get one basic thing wrong about it.

I’ve been out of residency for twelve years. The most common refrain from this training cohort (10-15 years out of residency) is boredom.

A funny thing happened on the way to broadcast the World Cup final. Our helicopter from NYC got diverted to, of all places, Kearny, NJ…aka “Soccer Town, USA.” Champagne problems, but the soccer gods obviously have a sense of history…and humor. 🇺🇸⚽️
