Contracts in agriculture almost never work like this. Producers usually do 1-3 year deals, and a broker is often facilitating the deal, so if stuff goes south they’re able to quickly reassign the product. It would make no sense for a sourcing or manufacturing company to just cut off a contract with a producer in this manner.

My wife called to tell me that some friends of ours, who are cotton farmers in Oklahoma, just lost their biggest contract with a Canadian buyer. The buyer felt there was too much instability so he signed a deal with a cotton producer in Brazil. The Trump effect strikes again.

My social security number cannot be stolen if it does not exist. My business with my bank is my business. I will choose another bank if they give my money to someone else. The government is only there IF I need to bring a redress of grievances to a court if my bank is complicit in defrauding me. Not to create a system that makes me have to protect a number they’ve literally leaked multiple times in my lifetime.
