Apparently, this is a hot take.. Startup vintage of 2023-2025 is slowly realizing that fancy launch videos & focusing just on distribution MIGHT lead to VC funding, but still leads to money being lit on fire when you should have been spending equal (if not longer) time on retention. Momentum (in lieu of anything else) has ceased to be a moat. It never was in the first place, and the numbers (seed -> series A gap) are starting to show this. We'll see acquihires at a much faster clip than we've seen before.

@romainhuet @romainhuet I was trying to set up a cloud environment in Codex and it forced me to the codex web app, the environment set up steps are too cumbersome. Please allow us to to stand up a cloud environment from a local Codex session.

Most people have no idea we are undergoing the biggest renaissance period in human history (possibly the biggest inflection point there will ever be) To be able to live in this period is an honor/privilege in humanity. If you're building now, you're pushing the renaissance forward.

@mschoening I am a huge fan of Notion & Linear. Two of my favorite products in the past decade. I wish it weren't the case What makes you confident they will stay?

@faruk_parhat Care for a wager? You’re so confident; this should be easy money. If I win, I’ll donate the winnings to a charity of your choice. I’ll give you 10 to 1 odds.

@mwseibel @sarthakgh We have so many bugs in our laws, and our laws have so many layers/complexity This why lawyers get paid so much Lawyers are debuggers/programmers of laws Natural Language Law is admirable but doesnt scale in complexity for human needs/most nuances

See a problem. Pass a law. Fix the problem. It’s just that easy right?!? This way of thinking is responsible for so many problems.

@LeapWiz A form of data storage for humanity/entertainment. A way for humans to leave notes/stories for other members of our species. We shifted very quickly to the internet as the primary means to pass information. The next shift will be using agents to chronicle/pass information.

@hxxwhite @hxxwhite we have swift, react native, and flutter SDKs (with demo apps to test SDKs) does your platform work well for iterating on SDKs? Would be great if can do Android as well

codex just wrote code, synced it to a cloud simulator, ran end-to-end tests on the change, and handed me back a report of every bug it found. code → sync → test → report. all driven by the agent. no human in the loop, no Xcode needed.
