Fat Punks are not just a derivative of arguably the most successful PFP project of all time. Fat Punks are novel. The CryptoPunk data you see is not redrawn, or copied and pasted. It IS the same data, from the chain, composited live into the Fat SVG. Fat Punks call the canonical on-chain CryptoPunks pixel data live from Ethereum. The very same data that has been bought and sold for hundreds of thousands, and millions of dollars. It then composites that on-chain data from the CryptoPunks contract over a fat neural body whose on-chain fatness grows every time you feed it a fucking burrito. 5/5 on-chain checker from @tokenfox1: onchainchecker.xyz/collection/eth… We built Fat Punks on top of @hanrgb's MIT-licensed Artificial After All repo. The underlying on-chain neural inference comes from his genius. Our contribution was adapting that foundation into Fat Punks by building the live compositing system that reads the canonical CryptoPunksData contract at render time, layering that data with our fat neural output, and adding the on-chain fatness/feed mechanic. In layman’s terms, ourcompositing pipeline says: “One fully on-chain artwork can become an ingredient inside another fully on-chain artwork.” That’s a much bigger idea than punks who solely happen to be seriously rotund. For example, someone could use our Repo to: -Merge two different generative collections into one artwork. -Build artwork that evolves based on another NFT’s current state. -Layer one on-chain renderer over another. -Use an existing on-chain collection as a “base layer” for something completely different. -Make NFTs whose appearance depends on assets living in completely different contracts. -Create remix projects without copying image assets by reading them live from Ethereum. That’s pretty fucking cool, tbh. Our entire project is MIT licensed, so others can inspect exactly what was inherited from Han and what we added. So, we say all this to say, make your Fat Punks fatter. We’re aware of a site bug causing holders to have to search their Fat Punks by ID and feed their fatty’s one by one. We’ll be deploying a fix today to safely chunk feeds on mobile and desktop to allow for easy Fat Punk feeding with one click, without having to input IDs. Stay Fat Lads 🌯
