Someone just placed a $757,260 bid on this zombie CryptoPunk. 420 ETH. What makes this insane is the owner turned down a 900 ETH offer back in november when it was worth 2.5m usd.

Alien on the move! The V1 of CryptoPunk #2890 was just sold for 180 eth on the original native contract. @straybits claimed this punk in 2017 and has been holding it ever since. This is the first alien sale on either contract we've seen in a long time!

The original FWA deployment had a bug and we lost a CryptoPunk.
Decided to open-source ahead of the relaunch. If you have any time and consider yourself a solidity expert, take a look. If you find a critical bug, I will give you ETH 😻

Looks like there was a way to frontrun the chainlink callback, allowing an attacker to shift which NFT was selected. As a result, they managed to purchase someone's CryptoPunk unfairly (the largest listing in the pool). I'm in contact with the owner of Punk 5450 and TokenWorks will cover the ETH (~$66k). We've set the protocol into withdraw-only mode as of block 25452023 (and snapshotted $FWA holders here as well), preventing purchases and allowing depositors to withdraw their assets. I'll need a few days to decide what to do next, and to see if there is a path forward where the project can continue/relaunch since I personally think everyone is having fun with it (when it works). Sadly this is the downside of launching new things semi-quickly. Thank you for the support and for trying our ideas 🫶

this recent curation in punks is the strongest signal yet of this space maturing. we’re finally outgrowing floor speculation and rewarding quality.
this was my thesis when i built my punk collection in 2020. what i didn’t anticipate was how long clean mids would stay overlooked. i think that era is mostly over.
