I have officially moved to report the matter to the police and am in the process of formally notifying his "King’s Counsel" of the situation. I’m old enough to remember being told that Iran would make a fortune from the Strait of Hormuz by charging US$2 million per ship for “safe passage.” Some even reached for Clausewitz to dress this up as strategic genius. Now we read that Iran may itself be losing hundreds of millions of dollars a day, while the rial has fallen to record lows and inflationary pressure has worsened. How come Russia has been in war for more than four years and still manages to keep its inflation relatively down? What did Iran miss in their strategy?

Funky Friday Graze Attack! May Day! Today we spent the afternoon out in the back yard boiling some humongous meaty beef bones over a fire for onward “transportation to the kitchen where Sisi Ruth was waiting to “doll” them up as she does best. This all started Thursday at Metro Peech Wholesalers right on the “border” of my old hoods,Sunningdale, aka Vietnam aka Kong, and St. Martins in Harare 🇿🇼 We were doing some bulk grocery , toiletry shopping,weaving through that massive warehouse, when Sekuru Manu,casually browsing finds himself in the meat section… Texas Meats. Now that name still has me bemused. Texas? Here? 😂😂😂As if we need that to sell beef in Zimbabwe when our own grass-fed is world class 😂 He came across the beef bones packed in neatly in 2kg packs for US$9 ,he immediately dashed towards me with the news of the find and I briskly walked across to check if the “discovery” was indeed genuine😂 and it was! Got a few packs and here we are. After another late night Thursday, again my tastebuds didn’t want anything “soupy” so these meaty beef bones were exactly what the doctor ordered. Highfiridzi’d up they came out delicious,not chewy,not too “fall off the bone” just the way I like them with a dassa! Freshly picked green burners added the fire 🔥 and the graze went down a storm! By the way ,I was quite surprised when at least two shoppers recognised me and said “Hello King Jay” ,it was great to have a brief chat with them.
