@Brightonian_ Yes I may have worded that wrong in regards to buying players for instant success. The point that I was woefully trying to make was. We have invested a lot of money in a lot of young players & as it stands we are not seeing the benefit of that investment.

@fatter5 I don’t think any of us know the exact strategy beyond high level. But I’m 100% sure the club don’t buy exciting young players and ‘hope they are an instant success’!

@Brightonian_ We spent over £200M in the summer of 2024 & £100M of that Gruda,Rutter & O Riley cannot get a game. £50M last summer on Kostulas,Coppola & Watson & they can’t get a game either. We cannot keep buying exciting young players & hope that they are an instant success.

@fatter5 Yes I think so, we paid 30m for Minteh, Ferdi, and 40m for Rutter. This is now a fee in our bracket, An excellent source has linked us with the player for over a year, along with Bild which is an extremely credible outlet.

Genuine question for followers who have renewed their season tickets, did you renew because of “project Hurzeler” or did you renew because you’re fans of the CLUB more so than some prominent employees?

@michelappleton The problem these pitches create is that they encourage bits & pieces cricketers. If you bat a bit & bowl a bit you cover 2 bases in these conditions. I would prefer it if pitches required the best bowlers had to bowl at the best batsman required

I’m sure many fans of T20 cricket would disagree, but I enjoy a nervy, low scoring encounter like this one much, much more than 250 plays 230.
