🇲🇱 JUST IN - JNIM/FLA Fighters Release Surrendered Malian Soldiers, Provide Cash and Safe Passage Sources in Mali report that fighters from Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) have released Malian army soldiers who surrendered during recent clashes. The militants reportedly gave each soldier 10,000 CFA francs for transport and ensured safe passage out of the area. Video footage from the scene shows armed fighters distributing banknotes to disarmed troops, who were seen carrying personal belongings and boarding trucks to leave. The release is linked to negotiated withdrawals in areas such as Tessit in the Ansongo region, where Malian forces reportedly handed over weapons in exchange for safe exit. FLA/JNIM forces have taken control of Kidal and parts of Gao and Bourem, while also overrunning positions in Mopti and Sévaré before partial re-entry by Malian forces. Malian troops and allied Russian Africa Corps elements have withdrawn or negotiated exits from several northern positions. JNIM has called on Malian troops nationwide to surrender, offering safe passage in some cases while maintaining pressure on government positions. Authorities in Bamako maintain that the situation is under control in the capital and parts of the south, with air operations carried out against rebel positions.

🇲🇱 MALI WAR: KIDAL FALLS Tuareg-led FLA forces, backed by JNIM jihadists, have seized control of Kidal after Malian troops (FAMA) and Russian Africa Corps withdrew from key bases on April 25. Dozens of soldiers were captured, with weapons, vehicles, and equipment falling into rebel hands. The Malian flag is no longer flying over the strategic northern city. This marks the most serious setback for Mali’s military junta since 2023, as coordinated attacks also struck Gao, Mopti, Sevare, and areas near Bamako. FLA now controls Kidal. Fighting continues across the Sahel.

Whoever is threatening and traumatising this young mother for exercising her right to free speech is absolutely sick and out of their minds. Anyone who knows her should please tell her to share the numbers that have been calling her, and also get ready to sue the living daylight out of those demented bullies. We'll pay the legal fees. Ndi ara.

Unbelievable. Ukrainians who took refuge in Germany to escape the Russian meat grinder, will now be sent back home by Merz - to go and die. The real war hasn’t yet started. They will eventually go for Russia’s balls and that’s when everything goes dark - for a very long time. God have mercy.
Viory Video@vioryvideo

Take them back! - Merz pushes Zelensky for 'tangible progress' on return of draft-age Ukrainian refugees 'We will, incidentally, coordinate closely to support Ukrainian citizens who find refuge with us to facilitate their return to their homeland,' Merz said. 'We need quick, tangible progress here, which is also in the interest of both sides,' he added.

What’s happening (or about to happen) in Abuja that the authorities are not telling Nigerians. See how #Lagos suddenly upgraded to “temporary” capital, at least as far as the Americans are concerned.

As commendable as statements like this are, they miss the drastic measures required to check this unprecedented terrorism that seems to have vested & continues to “trouble” Nigeria to no end. Calling for American military action misses the reality that - if one military action neutralizes one terrorist/group, another (even more lethal & enduring) will quickly take its place. And continuing to issue threats/condemnations, without real actions, run the risk of turning the threats to mere diplomatic platitudes. So, as it stands, the more sustainable & bankable solution is to constructively engage those that have been proposing the prospects of a PARTITION. They’re the Nostradamus that saw tomorrow. They don’t deserve persecution & life imprisonment. They deserve respect, instead. Think of the partition of India & Pakistan in 1947. It saved millions of lives that would’ve been lost to religious extremism/terror all in the name of chasing some notion of “unity” that was doomed to be an utopia of deadly proportions. Share until it gets to @RepRileyMoore & @realDonaldTrump.

“War is at home right now in Nigeria." @Alex_Barbir says that the scale and coordination of the attacks in Nigeria make it clear that the nation is facing a domestic war. I agree 💯

Dear #Ndigbo: Regardless of your affiliation, faction or politics, desist from troubling MAZI NNAMDI KANU with what you post on social media. A man in prison (for your sake) deserves his peace, maximum cooperation & every support & loyalty he can get, especially from his base.
