Made the most of the weekend alongside my work, I discovered a bug in a protocol with ~$38M TVL that’s integrated by several other protocols. Since they don't have bug bounty program on Immunefi or elsewhere, I submitted the report via email. Let’s see what happens.

4 years ago I quit my job to go full-time into web3. People thought I was crazy. Today @CDSecurity_io has: - Audited 130+ protocols - Worked with 30+ SRs - Caught bugs in contracts holding billions in TVL Not a flex. Just a note to whoever's standing where I was 4 years ago.

Day 84 of trying to be selected as a mentee of @0xSimao Almost finished reviewing Module 2 of the Formal Verification book today. Unfortunately, I suddenly faced back pain. I received some injections, but even after about 7 hours, I still couldn’t sit or walk properly. 😦 Health has to come first. Hopefully I’ll recover tomorrow and get back to work. 😢

I approach complex protocols the same way I studied hard engineering exams: layered passes. Early passes are shallow on purpose. I’m just trying to get a map. Then I come back with more context, and the same stuff suddenly reveals a deeper layer. Repeat until there are no surprises left. The hard part is usually knowing how deep to go at each pass: if you spend hours stuck on the same micro-detail, you’re probably missing context, not intelligence. zoom out, go sideways, collect more pieces, then zoom back in. repeat this enough times and you go from “I kinda get it” to “I own it”. this is how I did uni exams, and it’s the same thing in audits.
