@BigtimeYYC @jclemy This is very good advice. Studded tires and perhaps pogies are all you need. Snirt (dirty snow) is the worst & cycle paths are cleared pretty quickly after a snowfall. Never be afraid to get off and walk over windrows if it makes you feel safer and ALWAYS take a lane if you need

@maddiebemrose @DannyAlberta77 Yes! I bike to the grocery store, I bike to the theatre / ballet, bike my kid to the bus stop, bike to meetings & work, bike to the brewery, to the movie theatre, to the in-laws. Turns out I bike everywhere, all the time, since I don't own a car.

Biking isn’t feasible in this city 6 months or more out of the year. We can live in the reality where we must accommodate motorists or live in some fantasy of having a walkable/bikeable northern latitude city. There are a lot of voters/property tax payers getting fed up #yyc
