@JonkusPKMN That's good. You don't want the meta to change every season: it's best when the core meta is consistent in any games, but with the creation of more options to handle them/slight decrease in dominance, is perfect. Worst case would be having some meta mons become unusable
English

Kinda sad to see that all 3 new moves have next to no impact to the Great League meta.
Diggersby got "buffed" but also nerfed with EQ
Skuntank chilln at 223 with trailblaze
And Hitmontop is the only one thats decent with triple Axel but still just is maybe a 4th or 5th choice fighter with medicham, Poliwrath, toxicroak machamp, sirfetchd...
The only change this season really brings the Sky Attack downgrade (which I think is good) and the rise of pokemon that were previously weak to Noctowl.
Some other updates are cool as well like VS Magnezone, Greedent, Swalot and Steelix... but all of them are kinda weak to Medicham and we go full circle again...

@thisischaniece @Jeffrey_WH @EP_Lawrence I guess the balance 20% would be those who come from overseas, get sick and decide to go to the doctor within 7 days of arrival.
English

@Jeffrey_WH @EP_Lawrence I read the article hoping it would clear it up but there’s no information about how they are testing everyone else. I’m not sure how strict they are in South Korea right now and if you need to register your information if you become positive.
English

Seung-ho Choi, a deputy director at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said that up to 80% of “imported confirmed cases” in South Korea are coming from China.

@laowai_shanghai @oxpal @macastel3 Viruses mutate so it's easier for them to infect when infection opportunities become limited. Definitely not the case in China. I don't think it's about reciprocity but more about the usual panic about the virus.
English

@oxpal @fawnpuggle @macastel3 I understand the reasoning behind the likelihood of new emerging variants. BUT then there also must be actions for regions which already have new variants – as it is the case for XBB1.5. But as nobody cares about that, it must be clearly for the sake of reciprocity.
English

You want a lesson on how propaganda works?
See article 👇
China has kept Covid test for entering the country. So other countries require it too. Make sense.
But what they do? they trigger anti Chinese sentiment with the only goal to then blame foreigners in front of patriots.

China's Foreign Ministry expressed the hope that all parties would uphold scientific principles and work together to ensure the safe and smooth flows of personnel between countries xhtxs.cn/DxK

@oxpal @laowai_shanghai @macastel3 China has 1 bil people, the world has 7+. The virus has been spreading rapidly through the entire global population. Just because cases are spiking in 1 country in a short period doesn't mean others will suddenly be more at risk.
English

@laowai_shanghai @fawnpuggle @macastel3 Is it for the "sake of reciprocity" - or for the sake of reducing incoming viruses from a nation with a massive outbreak and likely new emerging variants?
We're talking about tests here. Not a beating.
English

@oxpal @macastel3 @laowai_shanghai China's stance is every country can protect its borders in the way it deems fit. Their stance is China has a lot of cases (of the same virus everywhere) thus let's create special restrictions for us is not logical. They were fine with Thailand's first approach.
English

@fawnpuggle @macastel3 @laowai_shanghai I don't know what I'm missing ... China asked for tests travelers for years. Now they have the biggest Covid wave on the globe. It makes total sense to ask for tests.
By what logic are they a victim?
English

@macastel3 @laowai_shanghai Firstly mant countries do not. China's position is in response to specific targeting of Chinese for tests. Either you make it a blanket requirement for all countries or don't. China hasn't reciprocated against countries who require tests for all travellers
English

@DrDOwens @terencefung No. Singapore requires the death to come from covid not be with covid. Comparing hk which counts any death with covid with Singapore is mind-boggling. Given the restrictions were similar between the two it more goes to show the likely more real number in hk
English

@terencefung It is true that reporting is different in different countries
We can still make comparisons between strategies used in different locations
HK and Singapore have similar demographics, both eliminated early, high volume testing, reliable reporting

@RealSexyCyborg Given most have already had covid and recovered in many cities, any mask mandates are irrational. You won't get reinfected for 3-6 months. Also masks are not particularly effective - every single person infected here has been wearing them religiously.
English

@YifanYuNews Is your health code red though? How will it turn green? Well guess health code colour doesn't matter anymore anyway
English

Things are getting intense. People are yelling “no quarantine”
Yifan Yu@YifanYuNews
Bus to the quarantine hotel is waiting us outside. Staff is half-heartedly trying to make us getting on the bus. They must be super frustrated as well. We all know this is nonsense. But they have to work so late at night wearing full hazard suits, for what???
English

@louise_a_martin @YifanYuNews I think all y’all have heard most countries will require a valid and new PCR test for entry from the PRC.
English

@CommitteeOf0 Words can't express how appreciative everyone is for all your efforts.
English

@thisischaniece That's true but I mean more that you'd have to be severely immunodeficient to get reinfected so quickly, and it's going to be everywhere in society from now until cny so being scared to travel somewhere to risk reinfection is irrational
English

@fawnpuggle Depending on the city, some really turn into ghost towns during the holidays. Shanghai tends to be like that because of everyone traveling to their hometowns.
English

@VelkyChoc @Antwanmorel not at all. i've spent more than enough time in China hospitals - it's always been a chaotic mess. patients in hallways and the such. overwhelming queues to even get medicine. there's a culture of going to the hospital for the slightest cold.
English

Yesterday I went to a #Shanghai public hospital and it is swamped by patients, the majority of them are elderly in need of oxygen, no room for people. This wave is going to be tough ...

@chris__pc MF8551: reserved slot, not operating for a while
FM9362: often cancelled
CA1563: new flight, only starts tomorrow
MU2993: only flies few times a week
MF8569: never operated yet
MU5164: new flight, starts 26th
MU2470: never operated yet
English

@chris__pc @ZetGunner Looking at Hongqiao a lot of flights were landing as scheduled today. Also a lot of the cancelled flights have been 'cancelled' for quite a while - airlines who have these slots reserved not operating the flights due to demand and ready to resume them later
