Donald Trump will spend Christmas Eve with his billionaire friends at Mar-a-Lago on the taxpayers' dime. Barack Obama spent his Christmas Eve as President surprising kids at a children's hospital. Don't forget what real leadership looks like.

It costs hospitals $250,000 to $1 million to replace one physician (who quits for burnout, lack of compensation, better opportunity, etc.) Why hospitals rather spend this $ on recruitment than on making their own employed physicians happy is beyond me.

This thread goes beyond just the notion that clinicians are "burning out" because of burden. Healthcare has a moral imperative to change this vicious cycle to save and support its caregivers, not turn away from it. Burnout maybe can be repaired & reversed over time. This cannot.
